GMKtec EVO-T2 Mini PC Launches With Core Ultra X7 358H and Intel Arc B390 iGPU

GMKtec has launched its EVO-T2 mini PC globally on March 30, bringing Intel’s latest Panther Lake platform into a compact desktop designed for local AI workloads and high-performance computing, following earlier Panther Lake-based systems such as the Gigabyte BRIX GB-BRU9 386H mini PC.

The Mini PC combines CPU, GPU, and NPU resources to deliver up to 180 TOPS of AI performance, positioning it as a small-form-factor alternative to larger AI workstations.

At launch, the EVO-T2 is offered in a single configuration with 64GB LPDDR5X memory and a 1TB SSD, priced at $1,899. It sits in the same segment as compact AI-focused systems, including the GMKtec EVO-T2 Core Ultra X9 388H variant. Early subscribers can receive a $60 discount, bringing the price down to $1,839, with only 50 units available in the first batch.

The Mini PC is powered by Intel’s Core Ultra X7 358H processor based on the Panther Lake architecture, built on Intel’s 18A process. It features a 16-core configuration with 4 performance cores, 8 efficiency cores, and 4 low-power cores, combining CPU, GPU, and NPU acceleration for AI workloads. GMKtec is also expected to introduce a higher-end Core Ultra X9 388H variant later.

This Mini PC comes with Intel Arc B390 GPU, which includes 12 Xe3 cores and 96 XMX AI engines. According to the GMKtec, performance reaches levels comparable to entry-level discrete GPUs such as the RTX 4050 class, while operating at significantly lower power. The GPU also supports ray tracing and AI-assisted rendering features.

Memory is configured at 64GB LPDDR5X running at 8533 MT/s, while storage is expandable through dual M.2 slots, including one PCIe 5.0 and one PCIe 4.0 interface, supporting up to 16TB total capacity. The Mini PC also integrates Phison’s aiDAPTIV+ storage technology, designed to accelerate AI data access and reduce the cost of running local large language models.

GMKtec presents this mini PC as a hybrid AI system. It runs frequently used workloads locally, while more demanding tasks are handled in the cloud. This setup improves efficiency and can help reduce token costs for AI applications, especially in enterprise and developer environments.

Connectivity includes HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, dual USB4 ports, and an Oculink interface for external GPU expansion via PCIe Gen4 x4. Networking options are extensive, with 10Gb Ethernet, dual 2.5Gb Ethernet ports, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. This mini PC supports up to four displays simultaneously, including 8K output at 60Hz.

The chassis uses a CNC-machined metal design with a vapor chamber and dual-fan cooling system. GMKtec claims the system can sustain around 60W performance output under load without thermal throttling.

The EVO-T2 ships with Windows 11 Pro and targets users working with local AI models, content creation, and compact workstation setups where space and power efficiency are critical.
