NVIDIA has officially announced a new GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU with 12GB of GDDR7 memory. This version seems to be aimed at handling ongoing memory supply issues, while also giving laptop makers more options for upcoming gaming models.
The new version comes with 12GB of GDDR7 VRAM, built using three 3GB memory modules. That’s a bit different from the usual setup used in current RTX 5070 laptop GPUs. The idea here is simple, make memory easier to source while still giving enough power for modern games and creative work.
