Acer Swift Go 16 Ryzen Edition Launches: 8-Core Zen 5 Chip and a High-Speed Screen

Acer has introduced a new 16-inch Ryzen Edition of its popular Swift Go laptop, powered by the latest Zen 5 architecture. The new ultraportable is now listed on major Chinese e-commerce platforms and is scheduled to officially go on sale on June 1. Priced at 11,999 yuan (around $1,650 USD), the laptop is aimed at productivity users looking for strong performance in a thin and light design. Acer has not yet confirmed US availability, though the model is expected to launch in additional global markets later on.

The laptop has the new AMD Ryzen AI 7 H 350 processor, which features 8 cores and 16 threads. This chip is built to release a total performance power of 45W, making it highly capable for handling demanding workloads and multitasking. To support the processor, Acer equips the base model with 16GB of LPDDR5X memory running at a fast speed of 8533 MT/s.

The Swift Go 16 features a large 16-inch IPS screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels. It also supports a fast 120Hz refresh rate to ensure smooth scrolling and fluid visual rendering. The display covers 100% of the sRGB color gamut, while the physical hinge allows you to open the lid flat up to a full 180 degrees.

The Acer Swift Go 16 includes USB4, HDMI 2.1, USB-A connectivity, and a microSD card reader.

Unlike many other thin laptops that limit your connectivity, the Swift Go 16 offers a generous selection of ports. The chassis houses two high-speed USB4 ports capable of 40Gbps data transfers, two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, and a full-sized HDMI 2.1 port. This makes the laptop highly versatile compared to systems like the Lenovo IdeaPad 5a 2-in-1, which focuses more on a convertible form factor than port variety.

The laptop measures just 15.9mm in thickness and has a weight of 1.57kg for everyday portability. A built-in 65Wh battery powers the device, helping users stay productive while away from an outlet. Acer has packaged these features inside a clean aluminum body that looks both professional and understated.

Pre-orders are currently live, with the official shipping date slated for early next month. Interested buyers can secure their unit through online retail partners.
