Dell XPS 16 Creator Edition Revealed With RTX Spark and Up to 128GB Memory

Dell is taking the XPS lineup in a new direction with the upcoming XPS 16 Creator Edition. Previewed at Computex 2026, the laptop is one of the first systems built around NVIDIA’s new RTX Spark platform and is aimed at creators, developers, and AI-focused workflows.

The move pushes XPS beyond its traditional productivity role and into territory usually occupied by creator laptops and mobile workstations. Dell says the new model is designed for demanding creative projects while maintaining the portability that has defined the XPS series.

It come with NVIDIA RTX Spark chip, a platform that combines RTX graphics, AI acceleration, and next-generation processing with up to 128GB of unified memory. Dell says the XPS 16 Creator Edition will be the first XPS laptop to deliver NVIDIA’s full-stack AI platform together with the company’s complete suite of RTX technologies.

Dell is targeting video editors, 3D artists, software developers, and users running AI workloads locally. According to the company, the platform can deliver smoother playback of 4:2:2 4K video timelines, faster exports, improved multitasking across complex 3D scenes, and a more responsive experience when using AI-assisted creative tools.

Dell is using a Tandem OLED panel with True Black HDR 600 support, a technology designed to improve brightness efficiency while maintaining the deep contrast OLED displays are known for. The company says the screen is tuned for accurate, true-to-life color reproduction, making it suitable for editing, color grading, and design work.

Dell has also addressed a common complaint among creative professionals by bringing back two ports often missing from modern thin-and-light laptops. The XPS 16 Creator Edition includes a full-size SD card reader and an HDMI port, allowing photographers, videographers, and content creators to connect cameras, storage devices, and external displays without relying on adapters.

Dell has not disclosed the exact CPU or GPU configuration, but the company describes the platform as combining a high-performance RTX GPU with an ultra-efficient processor while retaining a thin, portable design. The laptop will support up to 128GB of unified memory, a figure rarely seen outside high-end creator workstations.

The XPS 16 Creator Edition represents the first product in a broader collaboration between Dell and NVIDIA around RTX Spark-powered systems. Additional devices are expected to follow as the platform expands beyond its initial launch.

Dell has not announced pricing or availability. More details are expected closer to launch.
