Lenovo ThinkBook 16p 2026 Adds Core Ultra 7 and RTX 5060 Variant

Lenovo has added a new mid-tier configuration to its creator-focused ThinkBook 16p 2026 laptop lineup. The updated model features an Intel Core Ultra 7 251HX processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 graphics. It offers creators a slightly cheaper option compared to the high-end Core Ultra 9 versions launched last month.

The laptop comes in a Lunar Gray metal chassis that measures 17.9mm thick and weighs 2.1 kg. While other Lenovo machines like the Lenovo IdeaPad 5i 2-in-1 use OLED displays, this creator model features a 16-inch 3.2K IPS screen. The screen also features a 165Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 500 nits, and full DCI-P3 color coverage.

The laptop supports up to 64GB of DDR5 RAM using two upgradeable memory slots. For storage, users can install up to 4TB of storage across two M.2 PCIe slots. This level of customization matches what we saw in the Lenovo Legion Y9000P Extreme Edition and other gaming laptops.

The device uses a dual-fan cooling system with copper heat plates to handle up to 200W of power draw in Geek Mode. The top of the screen features a Magic Bay magnetic pogo-pin slot for attaching optional accessories like 4G LTE modules or studio speakers. It also features dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, a full-size SD card reader, and a built-in 85Wh battery.

The laptop is priced at 15,999 yuan (approximately $2,206 USD) on JD.com. Buyers looking for more performance can opt for the Core Ultra 9 290HX variants, which start at 16,999 yuan (around $2,344 USD). Those models offer options for an RTX 5070 graphics card and a custom FIFA design.

Interested buyers in China can purchase the new model directly from online retailers.
