Jonsbo DY-2 GPU-H++ Power Extension Features Dual-Sided RGB Lighting

The newly released Jonsbo DY-2 GPU-H++ power extension cable updates the brand’s desktop accessory lineup with native support for PCIe Gen5 graphics cards. This extension follows the DY-2 series products from 2023, which lacked a native PCIe Gen5 CEM option at the time of their release. DIY PC builders can now utilize a 12+4 pin to 12+4 pin connection to route power to high-performance GPUs.

The accessory utilizes a dual-sided light-emitting design that the brand calls a neon cable layout. This structure enables omnidirectional illumination inside the PC chassis, which can be synchronized alongside other desktop customizations like the XPG NovaKey RGB DDR5 memory. The lighting supports standard 5V addressable RGB controls and cascading to link multiple components together.

This customizable wiring aesthetic provides another option for builders looking to clean up their case interiors, contrasting with recent cable-free hardware like the Sapphire RX 9070 XT PhantomLink. The entire DY-2 extension measures 285 mm in length, with the flexible cable segment measuring 240 mm. On the electrical side, the cable is rated for 300 V of voltage and 7 A of current, supporting a maximum power load of 2.1 kW.

The lighting components run on 5 V at 0.81 A with a maximum power draw of 4.05 W. Jonsbo states that the product complies with the 12VHPWR standard, though the H++ naming aligns with 12V-2×6 specifications. The two standards remain compatible and share identical cable materials.
