Acer has opened preorders in the United States for its new Nitro V 16 AI gaming laptop, which is scheduled for release on July 12. The ANV16-A31-R8XV configuration is priced at $2,099.99 (about 15,200 Yuan) on Amazon. This premium portable model pairs a recently updated AMD mobile processor with dedicated NVIDIA Blackwell graphics.
Buyers looking for high-performance mobile computing can find various configuration options depending on their budget. This graphics configuration aligns with other premium mobile platforms, such as the Slimbook Creative RTX 5070 laptop. Choosing between these configurations depends heavily on a user’s local processing requirements.

The laptop uses the AMD Ryzen 9 270, an eight-core and 16-thread processor using Zen 4 Hawk Point architecture. The chip has a 4.0 GHz base clock speed and can boost up to 5.2 GHz within a configurable 35W to 54W range. In terms of raw specifications, the Ryzen 9 270 has the exact same architecture, cache, clock configuration, and Radeon 780M integrated graphics as the older Ryzen 9 8945HS.
Acer also listed a lower-tier configuration for $1,899.99 (about 13,750 Yuan) that includes a Ryzen AI 7 450 processor and GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU. Interestingly, the cheaper model holds the official Copilot+ PC certification because its processor includes a more powerful neural processing unit (NPU) than the Ryzen 9 270.

For gaming performance, the main configuration pairs the Ryzen processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU. The graphics chip has 8GB of GDDR7 memory and operates with up to 85W of graphics power. Other manufacturers are also deploying this GPU with custom cooling designs, including the ASUS TUF Gaming 16 RTX 5070.
The device uses a 16-inch (40.6 cm) WUXGA IPS display panel with a 1,920 x 1,200 resolution, a 180Hz refresh rate, and 100% sRGB color gamut coverage. The laptop weighs 4.6 pounds (2.09 kg) and includes a 76Wh battery to support portable use. Preorders are currently active on Amazon with shipments starting later this week.
