Acer TravelMate P2 & P4 Copilot+ PCs Launch With Intel Core Ultra Series 3

Acer revealed four TravelMate business laptops built on Intel’s Core Ultra Series 3 platform. The new lineup includes the TravelMate P4 14 AI, TravelMate P4 Spin 14 AI, TravelMate P2 16 AI, and TravelMate P2 14 AI. These systems support Intel vPro and qualify as Windows 11 Copilot+ PCs, allowing AI features to run directly on the device.

Core Ultra Series 3 processors include a dedicated neural processing unit (NPU) for AI workloads. The hardware allows some AI tasks to run locally rather than relying entirely on cloud services.

Processor options include Intel Core Ultra 7 365, Core Ultra 7 356H, Core Ultra 7 355, Core Ultra 5 332, and Core Ultra 5 322. Integrated Intel graphics handle display output and everyday workloads.

The TravelMate series targets enterprise deployments where security, device management, and remote administration are important. Enterprise laptops like the Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 7 also focus on mobility and enterprise IT management.

TravelMate P4 14 AI uses a thin aluminum chassis and focuses on portability for business users. The system measures about 15.9 mm thick and can weigh as little as 2.62 lbs (1.19 kg) depending on the display configuration.

Two display options are available. Buyers can choose a 14-inch WUXGA IPS panel with 1920 × 1200 resolution or a higher-resolution 3K WQXGA+ panel with 2880 × 1800 resolution. Both panels use a 16:10 aspect ratio and support a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The 3K panel reaches about 400 nits of brightness and covers 100 percent of the sRGB color space.

The laptop supports up to 64 GB of dual-channel DDR5 memory and PCIe Gen4 NVMe storage with capacities ranging from 256 GB to 1 TB.

Connectivity includes two USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 support, two USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1, a microSD card slot, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and a Gigabit Ethernet port.

Security features include a fingerprint reader, a discrete Trusted Platform Module, a physical camera shutter, and optional chassis intrusion detection.

TravelMate P4 Spin 14 AI uses a 360-degree hinge that allows the display to rotate fully. Convertible laptops like the Dynabook Portégé X45W also use similar hinge designs for laptop and tablet modes.

The laptop includes a 14-inch touchscreen with two panel options. Buyers can choose a WUXGA IPS display with 1920 × 1200 resolution or a 3K WQXGA+ panel with 2880 × 1800 resolution. Both panels use a 16:10 aspect ratio and support refresh rates up to 120 Hz. The higher-resolution panel covers 100 percent of the sRGB color space.

Acer includes a built-in stylus stored inside the chassis. The pen supports note-taking, drawing, and other touchscreen workflows.

The Spin model uses a larger 71 Wh battery. Depending on configuration, the system weighs around 1.33 kg (2.93 lbs.) to 1.4 kg (3.09 lbs.).

Ports include two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C connectors, two USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1, a microSD card slot, a headset jack, and a Gigabit Ethernet port.

Security features include a fingerprint reader integrated into the power button, a discrete TPM chip, and a physical webcam shutter.

TravelMate P2 16 AI features a 16-inch IPS display with WUXGA resolution (1920 × 1200). The panel uses a 16:10 aspect ratio and supports refresh rates up to 120 Hz. The larger screen provides additional workspace for spreadsheets, documents, and multitasking.

The laptop supports up to 64 GB of DDR5 memory and PCIe Gen4 NVMe storage ranging from 256 GB to 1 TB.

A 65 Wh battery powers the system. Acer states that fast-charging support allows the battery to reach about 80 percent capacity in roughly one hour, or around 50 percent in about 30 minutes.

Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, USB-A ports, a microSD card slot, and a Gigabit Ethernet port. Optional LTE connectivity is also available for mobile internet access.

Security features include a discrete TPM module, camera shutter, Kensington Nano lock support, and optional fingerprint authentication.

AI Collaboration Tools

The TravelMate lineup includes several AI-powered tools aimed at improving video meetings and remote collaboration.

Acer PurifiedVoice reduces background noise during calls using AI processing. The system uses a multi-microphone array to filter out unwanted sounds and improve voice clarity.

Acer PurifiedView adjusts camera framing and image quality during video calls. The feature helps keep the user centered in the frame and improves visibility in different lighting conditions.

Camera options include a Full HD webcam or a 5-megapixel camera with infrared support for Windows Hello facial authentication.

Audio features include DTS sound processing and Acer TrueHarmony technology for clearer voice and media playback.

Security and Enterprise Management

The TravelMate lineup includes several security features aimed at enterprise environments.

Each system includes a discrete Trusted Platform Module (TPM) for hardware-based security. A fingerprint reader allows biometric login, while a physical camera shutter helps protect user privacy during video calls.

Some configurations support a chassis intrusion alarm that alerts users if the device casing is opened without authorization.

The laptops also support Acer ProShield Plus security software along with Commercial BIOS tools. These features allow IT teams to manage devices, control system settings, and deploy updates across large laptop fleets.

Acer Office Manager provides additional management tools for organizations that need to monitor and maintain multiple systems remotely.

Connectivity and Durability

The new TravelMate laptops support modern connectivity standards used in enterprise environments.

Wireless networking includes Wi-Fi 7 along with Bluetooth 5.4 support. These technologies improve wireless speeds, reduce latency, and help maintain stable connections in busy office networks.

Each system includes two USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 support, two USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1, a microSD card reader, a 3.5 mm headset jack, and a Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45) port.

The TravelMate P4 models can drive multiple external displays. Dual USB-C ports and the HDMI connection allow users to connect several high-resolution monitors.

All models meet MIL-STD-810H durability standards. This certification includes testing for vibration, temperature changes, humidity, and other conditions that laptops may encounter during daily travel and workplace use.

Some configurations are also available with ENERGY STAR, EPEAT, and optional TCO certifications, which support organizational sustainability requirements.
