AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT are now selling below MSRP in Germany, marking the first time prices have moved under launch levels since the memory shortage period.
Recent retailer listings show the Radeon RX 9070 starting at €539, down from its €629 MSRP, while the RX 9070 XT is available from around €640 compared to its €689 launch price. These figures include VAT and apply to entry-level partner cards such as ASUS Prime and ASRock Challenger models.
Early on, higher GDDR6 prices and tight supply pushed costs up, keeping both models above MSRP for several months, as highlighted in reports on Micron 24GB GDDR7 memory pricing and supply trends.
In the United States, pricing remains much higher, similar to trends we have seen in the RTX 50 GPU supply constraints and pricing issues in 2026. Current listings place the RX 9070 around $810 to $820, while RX 9070 XT models range between $880 and $890 depending on availability. Both remain well above their official $549 and $599 MSRPs.
Both cards are based on AMD’s RDNA 4 architecture built on a 4 nm process using Navi 48 GPUs, following earlier developments in AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT low-power GPU launch. The RX 9070 XT includes 4096 stream processors and a 304W board power limit, while the RX 9070 includes 3584 stream processors with a 220W power rating.
Each card comes with 16GB of GDDR6 memory and PCIe 5.0 x16 support. The generation also introduces FSR 4 upscaling, designed to improve image quality and performance through AI-based reconstruction.

The change in Germany appears tied to improved availability, with increased supply pushing prices lower. In the US, tighter availability continues to keep pricing elevated.
No official price adjustment has been announced by AMD. Current pricing reflects retailer listings rather than a global price update.
