ASUS has introduced the ExpertBook B3 G1, following the earlier ASUS ExpertBook B3 G2 a new business-focused laptop series built around Intel’s Core Ultra Series 2 processors, similar to enterprise models like the ASUS ExpertBook B5 G2. The lineup comes in 14-inch and 16-inch variants and is designed for enterprise environments with a mix of upgradeable hardware, AI features, and long-term support.
The system is powered by up to Core Ultra 7 processors, including vPro options, paired with integrated Intel Arc graphics and an NPU capable of up to 13 TOPS. ASUS is positioning the device as an AI-ready work machine, with support for features such as Microsoft Copilot and the company’s own MyExpert suite, which handles tasks like document summarization, search, and meeting transcription locally.
Memory and storage are configurable well beyond typical business laptops. The ExpertBook B3 G1 supports up to 96GB of DDR5-5600 memory through dual SO-DIMM slots. Storage is handled by two PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots, supporting configurations up to 4TB plus 2TB, with higher capacities available through user upgrades compared to standard preconfigured options.
Display options include 1920 × 1200 and 2560 × 1600 IPS panels across both sizes. The higher-resolution panel reaches 400 nits brightness, offers a 144Hz refresh rate, and covers 100% of the sRGB color space. On the 16-inch model, ASUS also offers a 1920 × 1200 touchscreen option with a 120Hz refresh rate, limited to specific configurations. All panels use an anti-glare finish for office environments.

Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7 depending on configuration, along with a full set of ports. vPro models feature dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, while non-vPro variants replace one with a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port. Additional connectivity includes two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, HDMI 2.1, Gigabit Ethernet, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The chassis is built for durability, meeting MIL-STD-810H standards across multiple test procedures. ASUS also includes a 180-degree lay-flat hinge, making the device easier to use in collaborative work settings. Thermal management is handled by the company’s ExpertCool design, aimed at maintaining stable performance during extended workloads.

Security is handled through the ExpertGuardian platform, which combines hardware and software protections. This includes TPM 2.0, NIST SP 800-193-compliant BIOS protection, dual ROM recovery, a dedicated security processor, and chassis intrusion detection. ASUS also notes extended BIOS and driver support for enterprise deployments.

The laptop includes AI noise-canceling audio, dual speakers with DIRAC support, and multiple webcam options, including HD, Full HD, and IR variants with a physical privacy shutter. The keyboard is spill-resistant and designed for office use with 1.5mm key travel.
Battery options include 50Wh and 70Wh units, with charging handled via a 65W USB-C adapter. The 14-inch model starts at 3.17 kg (1.44 lbs), while the 16-inch version is rated at 3.92 lbs (1.78 kg), with both models maintaining a relatively slim profile under 20 mm thickness.
ASUS has not yet announced pricing or availability for the ExpertBook B3 G1.
