Asus has officially confirmed the global launch of the ROG Strix G16 (2026), a new gaming laptop powered by Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX and next-generation NVIDIA RTX 50-series Laptop GPUs. This laptop is part of the new trend of AI-powered gaming category, offering fast performance and advanced graphics. The ROG Strix G16 (2026) joins other recent gaming systems like the Razer Blade 16 (2026).

The global listings show that the ROG Strix G16 (2026) will be available in different versions for both regular and high-end gamers. It will come with GPU options like RTX 5060, RTX 5070, and RTX 5080. The lineup also includes larger variants like the ASUS ROG Strix G18 (2026), which focuses on higher power limits and bigger display configurations.

The laptop is powered by Intel’s Core Ultra 9 290HX processor, which features up to 24 cores and boosts to 5.5GHz. It also features Intel’s new AI Boost NPU, capable of delivering up to 130 TOPS of AI performance. In real use, this means smoother multitasking, quicker background processing, and noticeable improvements in both gaming and creative workloads.

The RTX 5060 and RTX 5070 variants are expected to run at around 115W, while the more powerful RTX 5080 model could push up to 175W. On top of that, higher-end configurations may come with a massive 380W power adapter, which should help keep performance stable even during long gaming sessions or heavy editing work.

The laptop comes with a 16-inch 2.5K (2560 × 1600) display. It supports a 300Hz refresh rate, 3ms response time, and 100% DCI-P3 color coverage. It also includes NVIDIA G-Sync for smoother gameplay and Pantone validation for better color accuracy.

For memory and storage, the laptop supports up to 64GB DDR5 RAM and has dual PCIe 4.0 SSD slots. This makes it easy to upgrade in the future.

The laptop covers all the essentials with Thunderbolt 4, USB-C with DisplayPort and charging support, HDMI 2.1, USB-A ports, and even a 2.5G Ethernet port. You also get the latest Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 for faster and more reliable wireless performance.
