GMKtec launches the NucBox K17 mini PC with Intel’s Core Ultra 5 226V, bringing Lunar Lake into a compact design with USB4 eGPU support and triple-display output, expanding on systems like the GMKtec EVO-T2 mini PC.
The K17 comes in below the NucBox K13 from GMKtec, which features the more powerful Core Ultra 7 256V, similar to higher-tier configurations seen in the ASUS NUC 16 Pro. This model keeps the price more affordable while still offering key features like USB4 expansion and support for multiple displays.
The Core Ultra 5 226V features an 8-core design with boost clocks up to 4.5GHz. It includes Intel Arc 130V integrated graphics with ray tracing and XeSS support. Total AI performance is rated at up to 97 TOPS across CPU, GPU, and NPU, with the NPU alone delivering 40 TOPS.
The Arc 130V delivers lower raw graphics performance than AMD’s Radeon 780M, putting the K17 more in line with general productivity and light gaming use.
Memory is fixed at 16GB LPDDR5X running at 8533MT/s and cannot be upgraded. Storage options include 512GB and 1TB PCIe SSDs, along with a second M.2 slot that supports PCIe Gen5 x4 drives. Combined storage across both slots can go up to 16TB.
Support for up to three displays comes through two HDMI ports and one USB4 connection. The USB4 port runs at 40Gbps and handles eGPU connectivity, display output, and power delivery over a single cable, a feature also present in the Gigabyte BRIX mini PC with Ryzen 400.
Port selection includes multiple USB-A ports, one USB4 Type-C port, and a 2.5Gb Ethernet connection. In terms of wireless connectivity, it has Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.

The chassis measures 127.5 × 127 × 44.5 mm and weighs around 1.01 lbs (0.46 kg), using a CNC metal finish in a compact square layout.
In China, the NucBox K17 starts at CNY 3,799, roughly $551. Global pricing begins at $559.99 for the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage model, while the 1TB version is listed at $619.99. GMKtec is also offering a $15 launch discount through its official store, where it is now available.
At this price, the K17 stands as a lower-cost Lunar Lake mini PC with eGPU support, trading off GPU performance and memory flexibility for compact size and modern connectivity.
