Lenovo ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 11 Aura Edition Launches With 2.8K 120Hz OLED

Lenovo has introduced the ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 11 Aura Edition, a premium 14-inch convertible business laptop that combines laptop performance with tablet flexibility. The device comes with Intel Core Ultra processors, an optional 2.8K OLED display, and a 120Hz variable refresh rate panel, placing it among the latest generation of AI-ready productivity laptops.

The model expands Lenovo’s ThinkPad X1 lineup and emphasizes portability, enterprise security, and AI-assisted productivity features. The business laptop lineup also includes devices like the Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 7, which focuses on mobile productivity and enterprise use. Its 360-degree hinge lets the device work in laptop, tablet, tent, and presentation modes, giving business users more flexibility for meetings, presentations, note-taking, and travel.

The system runs on Intel Core Ultra processors, with options like the Core Ultra 5 325 and Core Ultra 7 355. These processors use Intel’s hybrid architecture and support AI features integrated into Windows 11.

The platform also supports AI-accelerated productivity tools, including Microsoft Copilot features and other AI-assisted workflows. The system joins a growing category of AI-ready productivity laptops built around Intel Core Ultra processors.

The system can be configured with up to 32GB LPDDR5x memory and high-speed PCIe SSD storage. The configuration supports demanding workloads including large spreadsheets, development tools, and enterprise applications.

Lenovo offers several display options for this device, including a 2.8K OLED panel with a resolution of 2880 × 1800 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Lenovo has also introduced similar OLED displays in convertible systems like the Lenovo Yoga 9i Gen 11. The OLED panel delivers higher contrast and improved color accuracy compared with standard LCD displays. It also supports variable refresh rate (VRR), which helps keep motion smooth while improving overall power efficiency.

The convertible design is powered by Lenovo’s 360-degree hinge mechanism, which allows the device to switch between different usage modes based on the user’s needs. Users can type in traditional laptop mode, show content in tent mode, or switch to tablet mode for digital writing.

Lenovo also supports the front-docked ThinkPad Slim Pen. With this stylus, users can write notes, annotate documents, sketch ideas, or mark presentations directly on the touchscreen display.

The ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 11 Aura Edition is still lightweight despite its flexible convertible design. The laptop weighs about 2.9 lb (1.32 kg).

For connectivity, Lenovo includes several modern high-speed options designed for business use. Depending on the configuration, the laptop may offer Thunderbolt 4 ports, USB-C connectivity, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth. These options make it easy to connect docking stations, external displays, and other high-speed accessories.

According to Lenovo’s official product listings, the ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 11 Aura Edition starts at £2,489.99 (around $3,150) in the United Kingdom and about €2,799 (around $3,040) in parts of Europe. Lenovo expects the laptop to begin shipping around March 24 in the UK and several European markets, with availability in additional regions expected later.

The new model expands Lenovo’s long-running ThinkPad X1 family, which includes premium business laptops such as the ThinkPad X1 Carbon and earlier ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 generations. Compared with previous versions, the new model adds Intel Core Ultra processors, AI acceleration support, and a high-refresh OLED display.
