Well, he had leaked many tips regarding Lovelace GPU specs. He had also tweeted that it’s also possible that NVIDIA may skip 4000 series GPUs and jump to launch directly 5000 series GPUs.

Twitter GPU Speculator Gremon55 and NVIDIA’S Release Pattern

Twitter GPU Speculator Gremon55 predicted the Lovelace GPUs release date as September 2022. Well, NVIDIA’s release pattern also corroborates it. Ampere 3080 was also released in September 2021. And NVIDIA is consistently releasing its GPUs with a difference of 2 years.

  • Famous YouTube channel Moore’s Law is Dead predicts that Lovelace 4090 will consume no more than 700 watts of power. 
  • Famous Twitter GPU leaker Greymon55 predicts that Lovelace 4090 would consume 600 watts of power. 

My wish about the power consumption of the Lovelace 4090 is that it should not raise more than 600 watts. 

Lovelace VS Ampere GPU Specs: PCI Express 5.0 Power Connector

The main benefit of using PCIe 5.0 is to get stunning transfer rates of data; 33 Giga transfers per second or 3.94 gigabytes per second. And it can also provide 600 watts of power. So PCIe 5.0 is inevitable for those users who want maximum utilization of their GPUs.

Because of these benefits, many are switching to using PCIe 5.0. Intel’s Alder Lake CPUs are going to be upgraded with it. AMD’s upcoming CPUs and Radeon Cards are also opting for PCIe 5.0.

So if Lovelace 4090 will consume around 600 watts of power, then it has no option but to go with PCIe 5.0.
