Razer has introduced the Razer Laptop Sleeve 16 with Wireless Charging, a premium 16-inch laptop sleeve that integrates dual MagSafe-compatible wireless charging zones directly into its front flap. The accessory blends device protection with built-in Qi-compatible wireless power, positioning it as one of the first mainstream laptop sleeves designed to charge smartphones while protecting a laptop.
The launch expands Razer’s growing lifestyle and productivity accessories portfolio beyond gaming hardware. Unlike conventional laptop sleeves focused purely on protection, this model doubles as a magnetic wireless charging surface, aligning with the rising adoption of MagSafe, Qi2 wireless charging, and USB-C Power Delivery standards across the US consumer electronics market.
Inside the front flap of the sleeve, Razer has built in two wireless charging pads. When you plug the sleeve into a USB-C power adapter, it can charge two devices at the same time. One device can get up to 15W fast wireless charging, while a second device, like wireless earbuds, can charge at up to 5W.
The magnetic front flap helps keep compatible devices properly aligned while charging. This is especially useful for MagSafe-supported smartphones and accessories. You can place your phone directly on the sleeve during meetings, travel, or daily commutes without carrying a separate charging pad.
The sleeve does not include a built-in battery. It works only when connected to an external USB-C power source. This avoids airline restrictions related to lithium batteries, which have affected some smart luggage products in the past. Without an internal battery, the sleeve stays slim and easier to travel with.
It fits laptops up to 16 inches, including models like the latest Razer Blade 16. A magnetic closure keeps the laptop secure during transport. Inside, a padded microfiber lining and reinforced edges help protect against small bumps, light drops, and scratches.

Wireless charging built directly into a laptop sleeve is still uncommon among major accessory brands. Razer’s continued focus on unique gear — from innovative peripherals to accessories like this sleeve — echoes its broader product history, including playful and collectible devices such as the Razer Boomslang $1,337 gaming mouse. As more smartphones adopt magnetic wireless charging standards like Qi2, this type of product may become more practical.
In daily use, a few factors will matter:
- How much heat builds up during charging
- How efficient charging remains through the sleeve material
- Whether the sleeve feels thicker than standard cases
- How convenient it is when connected to an external power adapter
These details will decide whether built-in charging feels necessary or simply convenient.
Razer is also selling a regular 16-inch sleeve without wireless charging for users who want basic protection only. Both versions use the same materials and design, which suggests Razer is testing interest in charging-enabled carry accessories before expanding the concept further.

Pricing and retail availability have not yet been announced. Based on Razer’s premium accessory positioning in the US market, pricing is expected to fall within the $99–$149 range, depending on retail channel and regional strategy.
As mobile work setups continue evolving and magnetic wireless charging standards gain broader adoption, integrated charging accessories may become increasingly common. With the Laptop Sleeve 16 with Wireless Charging, Razer is effectively redefining the laptop sleeve as more than a passive protective case, transforming it into part of a mobile power ecosystem.
