Razer Pro Type Ergo Keyboard With AI & Ergonomic Design

Razer has launched the Pro Type Ergo keyboard, its first split ergonomic keyboard made mainly for productivity users. It is priced at $189.99 in the US and is available now. With this launch, the company is expanding beyond gaming and focusing more on office and work setups, similar to productivity-focused devices like ASUS ExpertBook P5 G1, Launches With Core Ultra and 96GB RAM in a lightweight design.

The Razer Pro Type Ergo keyboard is designed to improve comfort during long working hours and includes features like AI shortcuts and multi-device support. It combines ergonomic design with useful controls, making it suitable for professionals, creators, and everyday users.

The keyboard features a split ergonomic design that keeps hands and arms in a more natural position. This helps reduce wrist strain and makes typing more comfortable, especially during long sessions. It also has a 10-degree slope with adjustable tilt options, including forward and reverse tilt, so users can adjust it based on their desk setup. A soft wrist rest is included for better support.

Another design change includes dual “B” keys, dual space bars, and a center backspace key. This allows both thumbs to take on more tasks, reducing finger movement and making typing easier over time.

The keyboard comes with two command dials and five programmable macro keys. You can use them to scroll, zoom, switch tools, or set shortcuts, so you don’t have to keep jumping between apps and can get your work done faster.

A standout feature is the built-in AI shortcut powered by Razer’s AI Prompt Master, reflecting the broader shift toward AI-enabled systems highlighted in the best laptops for deep learning. With a single press, you can summarize text, write emails, or quickly come up with ideas. It’s a clear sign that AI tools are now becoming part of everyday hardware for regular tasks.

The typing experience is built for office work. It uses low-profile keys that feel smooth and stay quiet, which is great for shared spaces. The layout also helps improve accuracy and reduces the effort needed while typing.

The keyboard supports Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless, and USB-C wired mode. It can connect to up to five devices, including laptops, desktops, and tablets, and users can switch between them easily, a feature commonly seen in setups covered in the best laptops with Thunderbolt 4. The battery can last up to three months on a single charge, depending on usage.

The keyboard also includes 19-zone RGB lighting, which improves visibility in low-light environments while maintaining a clean look.

The Razer Pro Type Ergo keyboard is positioned in the premium segment. It competes with ergonomic keyboards like Logitech Ergo series but stands out with AI features and advanced controls, which are still uncommon in this category.

The Razer Pro Type Ergo keyboard combines ergonomic comfort, smart controls, and AI features to improve productivity, making it a good option for users who spend long hours working on a keyboard.
