Sapphire has introduced two factory-overclocked Radeon RX 9060 XT 8GB graphics cards in China, pushing boost clocks up to 3.29GHz. The launch follows other recent custom Sapphire releases, including the RX 9070 XT Nitro Crimson Desert Edition.
The new RX 9060 XT Black Diamond 8G D6 OC and RX 9060 XT Alloy Pulse S 8G target 1080p competitive gamers and entry-level 1440p users looking for higher clock speeds within AMD’s midrange lineup.
Retail listings on JD place the Alloy Pulse S at 2,749 RMB (around $401 USD), while the higher-end Black Diamond model is listed at 2,999 RMB (approximately $437 USD). Both are currently China-exclusive, with no confirmed global release timeline.
Both cards use the same RX 9060 XT configuration with 2048 stream processors, 8GB of GDDR6 memory running at 20Gbps, and support for DisplayPort 2.1a and HDMI 2.1b. Sapphire’s factory tuning pushes boost clocks as high as 3,290MHz on the Black Diamond variant, placing it among the highest-clocked RX 9060 XT 8GB models announced so far.
The Black Diamond uses Sapphire’s Tri-X triple-fan design paired with a larger heatsink intended to sustain higher boost behavior under load. The Alloy Pulse S features a dual-fan FreeFlow airflow layout and is rated for boost speeds above 3.1GHz. In extended gaming sessions, the more robust cooling solution on the Black Diamond may allow for more consistent sustained clocks.
The 8GB VRAM configuration places these cards squarely in the 1080p segment. While some modern AAA titles can exceed 8GB usage at higher resolutions with ultra texture settings enabled, esports-focused titles such as Valorant, Counter-Strike 2, Fortnite, and Apex Legends remain well within that memory envelope at high refresh 1080p settings. Sapphire’s approach emphasizes clock speed and raster performance rather than increasing memory capacity, keeping pricing below higher-tier models.
Display connectivity includes next-generation DisplayPort 2.1a and HDMI 2.1b, enabling compatibility with high-refresh 1440p monitors and newer 4K panels that demand higher bandwidth.
At current China pricing, these factory-overclocked 8GB variants sit above typical RX 7600 pricing but below higher-memory models and discounted high-end cards such as the RX 7900 XT. Whether Sapphire expands availability beyond China will likely depend on regional demand and positioning relative to competing midrange GPUs.
