Xiaomi has revealed the Book Pro 14, a new thin laptop built for portability and performance. The model uses Intel’s latest Core Ultra processor and focuses on lightweight construction with premium materials. The announcement arrives as several manufacturers continue introducing thin notebooks powered by Intel’s newest architecture. The Acer TravelMate P2 and P4 Copilot+ laptops also target modern enterprise workloads with Intel Core Ultra hardware.
The laptop runs on the Intel Core Ultra X7 358H, a high-end mobile processor designed for modern thin notebooks. The chip features a 16-core design and 18 MB of L3 cache, built on Intel’s advanced manufacturing process. This hardware allows the laptop to handle demanding workloads such as video editing, coding, and large office projects.
Graphics come from Intel’s newer integrated GPU architecture. Xiaomi says the chip includes 12 Xe graphics cores, which can deliver much higher performance than earlier integrated graphics. In some early tests, the GPU performs close to AMD’s Radeon 890M class graphics, which are among the fastest integrated solutions available today.
The Book Pro 14 stands out mainly because of its very light body. Xiaomi uses a die-cast magnesium alloy chassis, which reduces weight while keeping the laptop rigid. The bottom panel uses 3D hot-pressed carbon fiber, and the keyboard frame uses titanium alloy for additional strength. These materials allow the laptop to weigh only 1.08 kg (2.38 lb) while staying about 14.95 mm thick.
To keep temperatures under control, Xiaomi installed a 10,000 mm² vapor chamber cooling system. The system includes dual fans and multi-channel airflow, which helps move heat away from the processor during heavy workloads. Xiaomi says the laptop can maintain about 50 W of performance output, which is unusually high for a device this thin.
The laptop uses a 14-inch display, which provides enough screen space for productivity while keeping the device compact. Configurations are expected to include up to 32 GB of memory and up to 1 TB of SSD storage, allowing the system to handle large files, multitasking, and professional software.
Even with its slim design, Xiaomi keeps several physical ports. Images show USB-C ports, a USB-A port, HDMI output, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. This layout allows users to connect external monitors and accessories without needing extra adapters.

The laptop will be available in Soft Fog Blue, White, and Elegant Gray. Xiaomi has not confirmed pricing yet, but the device is expected to launch in China first before reaching other regions.
The new laptop also shows Xiaomi continuing to expand its PC lineup. The company previously released the Xiaomi Book 14 in 2023, and the Book Pro 14 suggests that Xiaomi plans to compete more directly in the premium thin-and-light laptop market.
Recent PC hardware launches show a similar focus on performance and AI-ready systems. Intel recently introduced the Core Ultra 200S Plus desktop processors, expanding the company’s next-generation CPU lineup. Other notebook launches also highlight the growing demand for modern portable computers. Convertible designs including the Dynabook Portégé X45W demonstrate how manufacturers continue experimenting with new laptop form factors.
