Xiaomi G Pro 27Qi Mini LED Monitor Hits 2000 Nits in Japan

Xiaomi Japan has introduced six new monitors for the local market, led by the Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27Qi 2026, a 27-inch WQHD display capable of reaching up to 2,000 nits peak brightness.

The new lineup spans premium HDR gaming, ultrawide immersion, esports-focused performance, and affordable productivity displays. Sales began on February 24 through Xiaomi Store locations, the official website, and major retailers including Amazon Japan.

The G Pro 27Qi 2026 serves as the flagship of the launch. It features a 27-inch Fast IPS panel with a 2560 × 1440 resolution, 1,152 local dimming zones, and a peak brightness rating of 2,000 nits.

The Mini LED backlight system enables stronger HDR contrast and higher sustained brightness compared to standard edge-lit IPS panels. With a 180Hz refresh rate and 1ms gray-to-gray response time, the display is aimed at competitive PC gamers who want smooth motion clarity without moving to OLED. The high brightness ceiling also makes it suitable for mixed use, including streaming and content creation.

Xiaomi is also expanding its gaming portfolio with two additional WQHD models. The Curved Gaming Monitor G34WQi 2026 features a 34-inch 3440 × 1440 ultrawide panel with a 21:9 aspect ratio and 1500R curvature.

It supports up to 180Hz refresh rate and is rated at 400 nits brightness, targeting immersive setups and multitasking workflows. The Gaming Monitor G27Qi 2026 offers a 27-inch 2560 × 1440 display with a 200Hz refresh rate, making it the fastest refresh-rate option in Xiaomi’s Japan lineup. This model is positioned for esports players prioritizing high frame rates and low latency.

On the productivity side, Xiaomi introduced three additional displays. The 2K Monitor A27Qi 2026 features a 27-inch 2560 × 1440 IPS panel with up to 120Hz refresh rate and factory calibration achieving Delta E < 1, making it suitable for design and content creation tasks. The more affordable A27i 2026 and A24i 2026 are Full HD monitors supporting up to 144Hz refresh rate, bringing smoother motion to office and hybrid work environments.

Pricing places Xiaomi competitively within the Japanese monitor market. The Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27Qi 2026 is listed at ¥59,980, with a promotional price of ¥44,980 available through March 9. The G34WQi 2026 is priced at ¥44,980, discounted to ¥39,980 during the launch period. The 200Hz G27Qi 2026 carries a ¥32,980 price tag, reduced to ¥25,980 temporarily. The 2K A27Qi 2026 is priced at ¥19,980, while the A27i 2026 costs ¥14,980. The entry-level A24i 2026 starts at ¥11,980, with a promotional price of ¥10,980.

Mini LED backlighting continues to gain traction in the 1440p gaming segment as an alternative to OLED. While OLED remains dominant in the ultra-premium category, Mini LED panels offer higher sustained brightness, reduced burn-in risk, and strong HDR contrast through local dimming. For users balancing gaming and productivity workloads, high-brightness Mini LED displays may provide greater long-term flexibility.

With a 2,000-nit Mini LED flagship, 200Hz esports option, ultrawide gaming model, and multiple productivity displays, Xiaomi’s 2026 Japan monitor launch spans nearly every major mid-range and premium display category.
