ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM3 Launches Early in China, Global Release Near

Asus has begun selling its next-generation ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM3 gaming monitor in China ahead of its previously indicated availability window, giving buyers an early opportunity to purchase the company’s latest 32-inch 4K QD-OLED flagship ahead of a wider global rollout. The move suggests Asus is moving closer to an international launch, potentially sooner than initially expected.

The retail availability follows earlier reports from CES 2026, where the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM3 first surfaced with support for DisplayPort 2.1 and a 240Hz 4K QD-OLED panel.

The ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM3 sits at the top of Asus’ gaming monitor lineup, built around a 31.5-inch Samsung QD-OLED Gen 3 panel delivering a 3840 × 2160 resolution, a 240Hz refresh rate, and an ultra-low 0.03ms gray-to-gray response time. The configuration targets high-end users who want uncompromised 4K image clarity without sacrificing the fluid motion required for competitive gaming.

One of the most notable upgrades over earlier models is support for DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20, offering significantly higher bandwidth than DisplayPort 1.4. As next-generation graphics cards begin to fully support DP 2.1, the interface enables high-refresh-rate 4K output with reduced reliance on display stream compression, an important consideration for enthusiasts focused on signal integrity and future-proofing.

Asus has also focused on improving real-world usability of QD-OLED technology. The PG32UCDM3 introduces a new Black Shield Film anti-reflective coating, which the company says improves perceived black levels by up to 40 percent in bright environments while reducing the purple tint sometimes seen on earlier QD-OLED panels. This makes the monitor better suited for mixed-lighting setups rather than strictly dark rooms.

Durability has been enhanced as well. According to Asus, the Black Shield Film increases surface hardness, providing up to 2.5 times greater scratch resistance compared to previous designs. The monitor also includes ASUS OLED Care Pro, managed through the Display Widget Center software, with features such as panel protection routines, proximity detection, and firmware updates aimed at preserving long-term panel health.

In China, the monitor is priced at 8,499 yuan, with early-buyer coupons lowering the cost to 8,199 yuan, which converts to roughly $1,180 USD at current exchange rates. Final U.S. pricing has not yet been announced. This places it below some expected international pricing benchmarks, suggesting Asus may be using the Chinese market to gauge demand and optimize supply ahead of a broader launch.

Connectivity is designed to support both gaming and productivity setups. The monitor features two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 2.1, and a USB-C port with up to 90W power delivery, allowing it to function as a single-cable solution for laptops. A built-in KVM switch enables users to share peripherals between multiple systems, reflecting the growing trend of high-end monitors replacing traditional docking stations.

HDR capabilities include support for Dolby Vision and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification, an upgrade over older HDR400-class OLED monitors.

The panel covers 99 percent of the DCI-P3 color space, offers true 10-bit color, and reaches up to 1,000 nits peak brightness in HDR, delivering strong highlight detail while maintaining OLED’s signature contrast. Variable refresh rate support is provided through NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.
