Logitech G Debuts Carbon Fiber PRO X Superlight Victory Edition

Logitech G has introduced its first carbon fiber gaming mouse, the PRO X Superlight Victory Edition, created in partnership with the McLaren Formula 1 Team. Only 25 hand-assembled units exist worldwide, making it one of the rarest gaming mice the company has ever produced.

It is a limited collector edition built to showcase material innovation and premium craftsmanship. The mouse will not be sold through regular US retail channels, and Logitech has not announced official US pricing.

Engineering Shift: Carbon Fiber in Gaming Mice

For the first time, Logitech G has replaced the traditional polymer shell with carbon fiber, the same high-strength, lightweight material widely used in Formula 1 race cars. Carbon fiber is known for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and structural rigidity. Bringing that material into a competitive wireless gaming mouse marks a shift from traditional polymer shells to composite build.

Logitech says the mouse is about 3 grams lighter than the 60-gram PRO X Superlight 2, bringing it to approximately 0.13 lb (57 grams). That makes it one of the lightest wireless esports mice Logitech has ever built.

In competitive FPS titles, lower weight can reduce fatigue during extended play and support faster directional adjustments. A lighter mouse reduces hand fatigue and improves flick precision, especially in fast-paced titles like Valorant and Counter-Strike. Sub-60g wireless designs are now considered a benchmark for professional-level gear.

The mouse features McLaren’s signature papaya orange accents on the primary buttons, paired with Logitech G branding. The styling reflects McLaren’s championship-winning Formula 1 heritage and emphasizes performance, engineering discipline, and competitive focus.

Although Logitech has not released a completely separate internal spec sheet for this edition, the PRO X Superlight branding strongly suggests it is built on the same flagship esports platform as the Superlight 2. That platform typically includes the HERO 2 sensor, LIGHTSPEED wireless technology with sub-1ms latency, tracking up to 32,000 DPI, and low-friction PTFE feet for smooth glide.

Performance, therefore, is expected to match Logitech’s top competitive standard. The main difference here is the carbon fiber construction and the ultra-limited production run.

The use of carbon fiber also reflects a broader trend in premium gaming peripherals. High-end mice have experimented with magnesium alloys and skeletal weight-reduction designs in recent years. Other premium models, such as the ASUS ProArt MD301 with swappable switches, focus on modularity and durability rather than extreme weight reduction.

Carbon fiber offers even greater rigidity and durability, but it is more expensive and complex to manufacture. That likely explains why Logitech limited production to just 25 units.

Rather than targeting everyday buyers, this mouse appears aimed at collectors, esports ambassadors, and brand collaborators. Ultra-limited hardware releases have become increasingly popular in enthusiast communities, where rarity itself adds value.

Limited-run peripherals are not new to the industry. Razer previously released the Boomslang 1337 gaming mouse, a nostalgia-driven collector model priced far above standard retail hardware.

The collaboration also highlights the growing overlap between Formula 1 and esports. McLaren has expanded its presence in digital racing and gaming, while Logitech G continues to strengthen its position in professional-grade competitive peripherals. The collaboration aligns Logitech G’s esports focus with McLaren’s motorsport branding.

With only 25 units worldwide and no traditional retail rollout, the Logitech G PRO X Superlight Victory Edition stands as a statement product combining Formula 1 materials, esports performance, and extreme exclusivity in one ultra-light wireless mouse.
