Lenovo Yoga 9i Gen 11 Debuts With Panther Lake & 2.8K OLED

Lenovo has unveiled the 11th-generation Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition at Mobile World Congress 2026, updating its flagship convertible with Intel’s new Panther Lake platform, a brighter 2.8K OLED display, and a slimmer chassis. At the same event, Lenovo also introduced the Slim 5i Ultra and Yoga Slim 7i Aura, expanding its premium thin-and-light lineup.

The model succeeds last year’s Lunar Lake–based Gen 10 version and introduces platform-level changes focused on efficiency and on-device AI acceleration.

The Yoga 9i now runs on Intel Core Ultra Series processors built on the Panther Lake architecture. Lenovo also showcased experimental form factors at MWC, including the Yoga Book Pro 3D concept, highlighting its broader AI-focused hardware strategy.

The platform integrates updated CPU cores, improved Intel Arc graphics, and a more capable neural processing unit for local AI workloads in Windows 11. For users looking for discrete GPU performance, Lenovo has also launched the Legion 7a Gen 11 with RTX 5060 in the US market. As a Copilot+ PC, the system is designed to support on-device AI features such as real-time enhancements in video calls, AI-assisted productivity tools, and background task optimization without relying entirely on cloud processing.

A major upgrade appears in the display. The 14-inch PureSight Pro OLED panel carries a 2.8K resolution (2880 × 1800), a 120 Hz refresh rate with variable refresh support, and peak brightness rated up to 1100 nits. Lenovo states the panel covers 100 percent of the DCI-P3, Adobe RGB, and sRGB color gamuts. That combination positions the Yoga 9i squarely in the premium convertible segment aimed at users who require high color accuracy and strong HDR brightness in a portable form factor.

The chassis has been refined compared to the previous generation. Weight drops slightly to 2.84 lb (1.29 kg), down from 2.91 lb (1.32 kg), and thickness is reduced from 15.9 mm to 15.29 mm. To achieve the slimmer profile, Lenovo reduced the battery capacity from 75 Wh to 70 Wh. The company has not yet shared official battery life figures, although efficiency improvements from the Panther Lake platform are expected to help balance the smaller battery in everyday use.

Audio continues to be a key part of the Yoga lineup. The quad-speaker setup includes two tweeters built into the 360-degree hinge, so sound stays clear and directed upward no matter how you position the laptop. Two additional woofers on the bottom help deliver deeper bass. The system also features four microphones with 360-degree pickup, making video calls and voice commands clearer and more reliable.

As a convertible, the Yoga 9i supports Laptop, Tablet, Tent, Stand, and Canvas modes. In Canvas mode, the device rests flat with a slight display lift to improve comfort when writing or sketching. The included Yoga Pen Gen 2 supports AES 3.0 input for reduced latency and improved precision, targeting note-taking and creative workflows.

Lenovo states the system meets MIL-STD-810H durability standards for travel and daily use. Connectivity includes two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, one USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 port, HDMI 2.1 FRL, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. Wireless support includes the latest Wi-Fi and Bluetooth standards available on the Panther Lake platform.

The Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition ships with Windows 11 and is positioned within Lenovo’s Copilot+ lineup, which emphasizes local AI processing alongside traditional performance and display upgrades.

The Yoga 9i will go on sale later this month in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. In Europe, prices start at €1,799. Lenovo has not yet shared details about availability or pricing in the US.
