Razer Viper V4 Pro Retail Box Leak Reveals 49g Mouse and 8K Polling

Retail box photos of the upcoming Razer Viper V4 Pro gaming mouse have appeared online, revealing several hardware details ahead of the official announcement. The leak suggests the esports-focused device could launch soon. If the information is correct, the new ultralight wireless gaming mouse may become one of the lightest high-performance models in Razer’s lineup and could replace the current Viper V3 Pro.

Photos of the product’s retail box reportedly appeared in a physical store before spreading online. The original post was later removed, but the images confirmed the product name and several hardware upgrades. Based on the packaging details, the Viper V4 Pro appears to be the next model in Razer’s competitive esports mouse series, continuing the company’s long history of gaming mice that began with early models like the Razer Boomslang gaming mouse.

According to the packaging details, the mouse weighs 49 grams (0.11 lb), which would make the Viper V4 Pro one of the lightest flagship wireless gaming mice.

The mouse will use an updated version of Razer’s Focus Pro optical sensor. The sensor is based on the company’s 50K-class tracking technology, which is designed to provide very accurate tracking and precise movement detection.

The packaging also mentions Razer Optical Switches Gen 4. These switches are expected to provide faster response and better durability compared with earlier versions. Another feature mentioned on the box is an optical scroll wheel, which can offer better reliability than traditional mechanical scroll wheels.

Images of the retail box also suggest the Viper V4 Pro will support an 8,000 Hz polling rate, similar to other high-performance gaming peripherals designed for esports players. A higher polling rate allows the mouse to send position updates to the PC more frequently, which can improve responsiveness in competitive gaming systems powered by modern gaming GPUs.

Battery life is listed as up to 180 hours. If this figure is accurate, it would make the device one of the longer-lasting lightweight wireless gaming mice currently available.

Online retail listings have also appeared before any official announcement. One European store listing suggested a price close to $199, although this could be a placeholder or linked to a specific edition rather than the final global price.

The leak also suggests the mouse may launch in multiple color options, including a white version along with the standard black model.

The Razer Viper series has long been designed for competitive FPS gaming systems that rely on high-speed system RAM and modern GPUs used by professional players in games such as Valorant and Counter-Strike. However, the ultralight gaming mouse market has become more competitive, with devices from Logitech and other brands offering similar features.

Although Razer has not officially confirmed the Viper V4 Pro yet, the appearance of retail packaging and store listings often suggests that a launch announcement may happen soon. If the leaked information is correct, the Viper V4 Pro could become one of the most advanced ultralight esports gaming mice released this year.
