TCL has listed the 27C2A Pro, a 27-inch QD-Mini LED gaming monitor featuring a dual-mode panel that can run at 3840 × 2160 resolution at 160Hz or 1920 × 1080 at 320Hz. The configuration allows users to choose between higher-resolution visuals or ultra-high refresh rates depending on the type of game.
High-refresh gaming displays using similar dual-mode concepts have appeared recently with the AOC AGON Pro AGP277QK dual-mode gaming monitor designed for competitive esports refresh rates.
The display uses a QD-Mini LED backlight with 2304 local dimming zones and lists peak HDR brightness of up to 2000 nits. TCL also specifies 10-bit color output and 99 percent DCI-P3 color coverage in the panel specifications.
Mini LED gaming displays are also expanding in the 27-inch category with models including the Xiaomi Mini LED G Pro 27Qi gaming monitor focused on high brightness HDR output.
The monitor uses an HFS Shoot panel and lists ΔE < 2 color accuracy. The specification sheet also reports a dynamic contrast ratio of up to 20,000,000:1 along with a 1 millisecond gray-to-gray response time.
Connectivity includes two HDMI ports, one DisplayPort input, and a USB-C port capable of delivering up to 90W of power for connected devices such as laptops. Additional ports include two USB-A connectors with KVM support and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
The monitor stand supports height, tilt, and swivel adjustments, allowing users to position the display for different desk setups. The rear panel also includes RGB ambient lighting.
Premium gaming displays continue pushing new panel technologies with models including the ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM3 gaming monitor targeting high-end PC gaming setups.
The TCL 27C2A Pro appears on JD.com with a listed price of 3367 yuan, which converts to roughly $465 USD based on recent exchange rates. The listing also indicates that the price may drop to about 3182 yuan in regions where subsidies apply.
With a price close to $500, the 27C2A Pro enters a segment where Mini LED monitors with more than 2000 local dimming zones remain uncommon.

TCL has not yet announced global availability or regional launch plans for the 27C2A Pro. The JD.com listing suggests the monitor is preparing for release in the Chinese market first.
