Lenovo has released its mobile workstation lineup with the ThinkPad P14s Gen 7, available in both AMD and Intel versions. The new models focus on bringing workstation-level performance into a compact 14-inch form factor while adding support for on-device AI workloads.
The update introduces newer processor platforms, optional professional GPUs, and higher memory capacity, targeting engineers, designers, and data professionals who need reliable performance without moving to larger 16-inch systems.
According to Lenovo’s official announcement, the P14s Gen 7 is designed as one of the most portable AI-ready workstations in the ThinkPad P series.
The AMD version uses Ryzen AI PRO 400 series processors, going up to Ryzen AI 9 HX PRO 470 with Radeon 890M graphics based on RDNA 3.5. The platform delivers up to 86 TOPS of total AI performance, combining CPU, GPU, and NPU acceleration for local processing tasks.
The Intel model uses Core Ultra Series 3 H-series processors with up to 16 cores and support for Intel vPro. It can be configured with NVIDIA RTX PRO Blackwell laptop GPUs or Intel Arc Pro graphics, depending on workload needs.
AI performance varies by configuration. The Intel platform combines NPU, integrated graphics, and optional discrete GPU acceleration, reaching up to 540 TOPS in total system performance rather than from a single component.
Memory capacity is one of the standout features. Both models support up to 96GB RAM, which is uncommon in a 14-inch system. The AMD variant uses DDR5 memory with SO-DIMM slots for upgradeability, while the Intel version uses LPDDR5X memory for higher bandwidth configurations.
Storage is handled through PCIe Gen5 NVMe SSDs with capacities up to 2TB.
The display options include multiple configurations depending on usage. A 2.8K OLED panel is available with 120Hz refresh rate, 500 nits brightness, HDR True Black 500 support, and full DCI-P3 color coverage. Lenovo also offers IPS panels with up to 500 nits brightness and color calibration profiles for professional work.
Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and optional 5G support. The laptop also includes a full set of ports such as Thunderbolt 4, USB-A, HDMI 2.1, RJ-45 Ethernet, SD Express 8.0 card slot, and a smart card reader, making it suitable for enterprise deployments and field use.
The system includes a 5MP webcam with a privacy shutter, optional IR camera, and human presence detection. Security is handled through ThinkShield features including TPM 2.0, fingerprint reader, and self-healing BIOS protection.

The laptop is also ISV certified for software from Autodesk, Siemens, Dassault, and other professional platforms, ensuring compatibility with engineering and design workloads.
Battery options include 60Wh and 75Wh units with support for rapid charging, and the design allows user replacement, which is useful for long-term enterprise use.
The AMD model starts at around 2.84 lb (1.29 kg), while the Intel version starts at about 3.59 lb (1.63 kg), depending on configuration.
Lenovo will release the ThinkPad P14s Gen 7 AMD in April 2026, followed by the Intel version ThinkPad P14s i Gen 7 in May 2026 in select markets worldwide.
