ASRock is adding two new 27-inch Phantom Gaming monitors with 180Hz IPS panels and DisplayHDR 400 certification, expanding a segment that includes models like the ViewSonic VA27G11 175Hz gaming monitor. The PG27QFT2C and PG27QFT1B share the same core hardware, with differences limited to stand design.
Both models comes with a 2560×1440 IPS panel rated for 180Hz, with a 1ms MPRT / 5ms GtG response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, and peak brightness of up to 400 nits, placing them alongside displays like the Gigabyte GO27Q 240Hz QHD gaming monitor. Color coverage is listed at 96% DCI-P3 and up to 133% sRGB, with a 178° viewing angle and anti-glare coating.
Adaptive sync is supported via AMD FreeSync Premium. The monitors also include low blue light and flicker-free backlight control.
The difference between the two comes down to ergonomics. The PG27QFT2C includes height, swivel, and tilt adjustment, while the PG27QFT1B is limited to tilt-only positioning.
Connectivity includes 2× HDMI 2.0, 1× DisplayPort 1.4, and a 3.5mm audio output. Dual 2W speakers are built in. DisplayPort is required to run at the full 180Hz refresh rate, while HDMI is intended for secondary inputs such as consoles or streaming devices, similar to behavior seen in the AOC 27B35XE 144Hz IPS monitor.
ASRock also adds gaming overlays such as a crosshair, FPS counter, and dark boost for visibility in darker scenes, features commonly found in displays like the ASUS TUF Gaming VG34WQML5A ultrawide monitor.
The monitors include a Zero Bright Dot warranty alongside a 3-year limited warranty.
The PG27QFT2C is priced at 29,980 yen (around 1,298 yuan) in Japan, while the PG27QFT1B is listed at 27,980 yen (around 1,211 yuan). Availability outside Japan has not been announced.
