ASUS has introduced the ExpertBook P5 G1 in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes, adding a new option to its business laptop lineup focused on portability and upgrade flexibility. The new model starts at 2.84 lbs (1.29 kg), making it one of the lighter enterprise laptops with support for up to 96GB of memory.
Both versions run on Intel’s Core Ultra 5 225H and Core Ultra 7 255H processors. The higher-end chip brings up to 16 cores and boost speeds up to 5.1GHz, along with Intel’s AI Boost engine rated at up to 13 TOPS. Day-to-day features like writing assistance, background noise removal, and live translation run directly on the device through ASUS’ MyExpert tools instead of relying on cloud processing.
There is no dedicated GPU here. Instead, the laptop relies on Intel Arc integrated graphics, which fits the focus on office workloads, multitasking, and power efficiency.
ASUS ExpertBook P5 G1 supports up to 96GB DDR5 using two SO-DIMM slots, which is higher than what most business laptops offer in this size. Storage uses a mix of M.2 2280 and M.2 2230 slots, allowing configurations up to 6TB depending on upgrades.
Display options follow a practical approach. Both sizes use a 16:10 panel, with choices between standard WUXGA (1920 × 1200) and higher-resolution WQXGA (2560 × 1600). The sharper panel reaches 400 nits and can go up to a 144Hz refresh rate. OLED options are also available for users who want better contrast and deeper blacks. The 16-inch version provides slightly more screen space with an 88% screen-to-body ratio, while the 14-inch model sits at around 86%.

Cooling is tuned for steady performance rather than short bursts. ASUS rates the system for around 45W sustained workloads, which helps keep performance stable during long office sessions without pushing thermals too high.
The laptop also focuses on everyday usability. It includes a Full HD or optional 5MP IR camera with a physical shutter, along with dual speakers tuned with DIRAC audio. AI-based noise reduction helps during calls, which is useful for remote work.
You get Thunderbolt 4, USB-C, USB-A, HDMI 2.1, and Ethernet, along with support for Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 depending on the configuration. The keyboard offers 1.5mm key travel and is tested for spill resistance up to 355cc, adding some protection for daily use.
