ASUS has unveiled the ROG Zephyrus Duo (2026) GX651, described as the world’s first dual 16-inch screen gaming laptop, combining a full-width secondary display with RTX 5090-class graphics in a single portable system, building on earlier dual-screen concepts such as the ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo redesigned dual-screen model.
Both displays measure 16 inches and use OLED panels with a 3K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness reaches up to 1100 nits, with a 0.2 ms response time and full DCI-P3 coverage. The panels carry VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification, are Pantone validated, and are factory calibrated to Delta E < 1, delivering high color accuracy for both gaming and professional workloads. G-Sync support is also included to reduce tearing and improve smoothness during gameplay .
The second screen stretches across the entire chassis, turning the laptop into a built-in multi-monitor setup. ASUS includes multiple usage modes such as dual-screen, sharing, tent, and laptop layouts, allowing different workflows without external displays.
Core processing tasks are handled by Intel’s Core Ultra 9 386H, paired with GPU options up to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU based on the Blackwell architecture. ASUS rates graphics power at up to 150W, placing it among the highest-performance configurations in this class. Support for DLSS 4, next-generation ray tracing, and AI-assisted rendering is included, with AI compute reaching up to 1824 TOPS for local workloads .
Up to 64GB of LPDDR5X memory is available, alongside PCIe 4.0 SSD storage, aligning with configurations seen in high-memory systems such as the ASUS ExpertBook B3 G1. Running multiple applications across both displays remains smooth, whether handling gaming, editing, or streaming tasks at the same time.
A vapor chamber, dual fans, and liquid metal applied to the CPU keep thermals under control during extended sessions. ASUS also adds a graphite nano-insulated layer to help distribute heat more evenly across the chassis, which becomes important with dual displays and high GPU power .
The layout moves away from a traditional keyboard deck. A detachable wireless keyboard is included and can be placed freely depending on the setup, while the touchpad sits to the side. The keyboard itself remains slim but retains proper key travel, designed to work both attached and detached.

The chassis uses a CNC-machined aluminum build finished in a grey color, measuring around 1.9 cm thick and weighing approximately 6.2 lbs (2.82 kg), which is in line with other systems in this performance class.
Connectivity includes dual Thunderbolt 4 ports with DisplayPort support, HDMI 2.1, USB-A ports, and a full-sized SD card reader. Wireless connectivity moves to Wi-Fi 7, supported by a redesigned antenna setup for improved signal stability. A 90Wh battery powers the system, with USB-C charging supported up to 100W.
ASUS has listed pricing starting at $5,499 in the US and £3,999 in the UK. The configuration reflects a shift toward multi-display laptops that combine workstation-level multitasking with high-end gaming performance in a single device, a segment often featured in best RTX 5090 laptops.
