Lenovo’s IdeaPad Slim 5x (15Q8Y11) comes on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Plus processor and features a 165Hz OLED display, following earlier Snapdragon-based laptop developments such as the HP EliteBook 6 G2q. It also promises up to 30 hours of battery life, making it a strong long-lasting Copilot+ option in the 15-inch category, a segment that has also expanded with devices like the LG Gram 14 (2026).
The laptop powered by the Snapdragon X2 Plus X2P-42-100 chip, built on a 3nm process. It features six Oryon Gen 3 Prime cores clocked up to 4GHz at a 22W power level, paired with 16GB or 32GB LPDDR5X-9523 memory.
Storage comes in the form of M.2 2242 SSDs, with options going up to 1TB. The laptop comes with Windows 11 on ARM and features integrated graphics.
Lenovo offers two display configurations. The base model features a 1920×1200 IPS panel with 120Hz refresh rate, 400 nits brightness, 100% sRGB coverage, touch support, anti-glare coating, and low blue light certification. The higher configuration upgrades to a 2560×1600 OLED panel with 165Hz refresh rate, 500 nits brightness, 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, and a glossy finish, though it does not support touch.
The laptop comes with either a 54.7Wh or 70Wh battery. The smaller one delivers over 24 hours of use, while the larger battery can last up to 30 hours of local video playback under test conditions.
Connectivity includes USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, and a microSD card reader, alongside Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 support. The device also features a 1080p IR camera and an aluminum chassis tested to MIL-STD-810H standards.
Compared to the earlier IdeaPad Slim 5x (14Q8X9) with Snapdragon X1 processors, this version introduces the Snapdragon X2 Plus platform with higher clock speeds and improved efficiency, while adding a 165Hz OLED option in the 15-inch category.

The IdeaPad Slim 5x (15Q8Y11) starts at $849.99 in the US and CAD 1,179.99 in Canada. Configurations with 32GB RAM, 1TB storage, 70Wh battery, and OLED display reach $1,329 and CAD 1,839 depending on configuration.
