Intel has quietly launched the Core Ultra 7 251HX, an Arrow Lake-HX processor that first showed in early gaming laptop listings and is now officially listed with full specifications, following earlier reports on the Dell 15 laptop.
The chip features an 18-core design with 6 performance cores and 12 efficiency cores, paired with a maximum turbo frequency of 5.1GHz and 30MB of Intel Smart Cache. Performance cores boost up to 5.1GHz, while efficiency cores reach up to 4.5GHz.
Base power is rated at 55W, with maximum turbo power reaching 160W, consistent with other HX-class processors in the Arrow Lake lineup, as seen in CPU using the Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX processor.
The Core Ultra 7 251HX sits between existing HX models, within a lineup introduced alongside the Intel Core Ultra 200S Plus desktop CPUs. The Core Ultra 7 255HX and 265HX move to a 20-core configuration with higher boost clocks up to 5.3GHz, while the Core Ultra 5 245HX remains a 14-core option below it.
Integrated graphics include 3 Xe cores clocked up to 1.8GHz, compared to 4 Xe cores on higher-tier HX processors, reducing both graphics throughput and AI capability.

The processor delivers up to 30 TOPS of AI performance, including 13 TOPS from the integrated NPU, aligning with current on-device AI workloads and Copilot+ requirements.
Memory support includes DDR5 up to 6400MT/s in dual-channel configurations. Platform features include PCIe 5.0 and Thunderbolt 4 support, matching the rest of the Arrow Lake-HX stack.
The Core Ultra 7 251HX fills a gap in Intel’s mobile lineup, offering a lower-bin option between Core Ultra 5 and higher-end Core Ultra 7 HX processors with slightly reduced GPU resources and peak clocks.
The chip is expected to appear in upcoming 2026 gaming laptops and mobile workstations, including configurations paired with GeForce RTX 50-series GPUs and high-refresh OLED displays.
