Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5x Gen 11 Brings Snapdragon X2 Plus and All-Day 28-Hour Battery

Lenovo has added a new 13.3-inch version to the IdeaPad Slim 5x Gen 11 series, following its broader expansion seen in the Lenovo IdeaPad Gen 11 lineup, bringing the Snapdragon X2 Plus to a lighter and more compact design.

The new variant, identified as 13Q8Y11, follows the earlier 15-inch model and reduces overall size and weight. It measures 295 × 207 × 14 mm and weighs 2.62 lbs (1.19 kg), targeting thin-and-light Copilot+ PC designs.

The laptop includes the Snapdragon X2 Plus X2P-42-100 processor with six Oryon V3 CPU cores running up to 4.04GHz. It supports on-device AI acceleration as part of the Copilot+ PC platform, similar to laptops highlighted in Snapdragon X2 Elite. Graphics remain integrated.

The display is limited to a 13.3-inch IPS panel with 1920×1200 resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, and up to 400 nits brightness. It covers 100% of the sRGB color space. Lenovo lists a higher-resolution panel option, but it is not available in current retail configurations.

The RAM comes with 16GB LPDDR5X-9523 and reaches 32GB in higher configurations. Storage ranges from 512GB to 1TB using M.2 2242 PCIe Gen4 SSDs.

Battery capacity is 54.7Wh with support for 65W charging. Lenovo rates battery life at over 28 hours for local 1080p video playback at 150 nits.

The chassis uses a full metal build and meets MIL-STD-810H durability standards. Ports include USB-C, two USB-A ports, HDMI, and a microSD card reader.

The IdeaPad Slim 5x 13 Gen 11 (13Q8Y11) is currently available in Europe, starting at £1,050 in the UK and ranging between €1,230 and €1,249 across the Eurozone depending on configuration. Availability in other regions has not been confirmed.
