Dareu FK98 Brings 96% Layout, Tri-Mode Wireless for 279 Yuan

Dareu has launched the FK98, a new budget mechanical keyboard that combines a 96% layout, tri-mode wireless support, and gasket mounting at a starting price of 279 yuan. The new model joins Dareu’s growing keyboard lineup as one of its more affordable feature-packed options.

The FK98 offers 96% layout, keeping the number pad and nearly all standard full-size keys while taking up less space than a traditional 104-key keyboard. This makes it a practical option for users who want a compact setup without losing productivity-focused keys.

Dareu comes with the keyboard with its Abyss Purple mechanical switches. Internally, the board uses a gasket-mounted design with five layers of sound-dampening material placed above and below the PCB to help create a softer typing feel and quieter sound profile.

The stabilizers use Dareu’s own gourd-shaped slot structure, which is designed to improve key stability and provide smoother presses on larger keys like the space bar and Enter key.

For connectivity, the FK98 supports wired USB, Bluetooth, and 2.4GHz wireless modes. It also includes a built-in 4000mAh battery for wireless operation.

RGB lighting is included with multiple preset effects and music-sync support. The keyboard also ships with double-shot PBT keycaps for better long-term durability.

At 279 yuan, the FK98 is consider among the cheaper tri-mode gasket keyboards currently available, undercutting many competing models while still offering premium-style features also present in the Dareu Ultra 75 Flip Top 8kHz Rapid Trigger keyboard.

The keyboard is currently available through Chinese retail platforms, with no global release details announced so far.
