MSI VERSA 300 Wireless 8K Mouse Launches at $59 With 66g Weight and PAW3395 Sensor

MSI has launched the VERSA 300 Wireless 8K Mouse, bringing high-end gaming specs at a much lower price than many rivals. The new model arrives with an 8,000Hz polling rate, a lightweight 66g body, tri-mode connectivity, and a $59 price tag, undercutting several recent premium gaming mouse launches.

The mouse comes with PixArt’s PAW3395 optical sensor, offering up to 26,000 DPI, 650 IPS tracking speed, and 50G acceleration, a sensor class widely used in enthusiast-grade gaming mice. This is the same sensor family found in many premium gaming mice that cost far more.

One of the main highlights is the 8,000Hz polling rate, a feature increasingly seen in newer competitive gaming peripherals. Most gaming mice still run at 1,000Hz, while 8,000Hz sends updates more often for faster response and smoother cursor movement, especially in competitive games.

MSI has given the mouse a symmetrical shape that works for both left- and right-handed users. It supports palm, claw, and fingertip grip styles. Diamond-pattern side grips are also included to help keep a firm hold during quick movements.

For connectivity, buyers get MSI SWIFTSPEED 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.3, and wired USB-C mode. This allows easy switching between gaming PCs, laptops, tablets, and charging mode.

Battery life is rated at up to 196 hours with lighting turned off, placing it among longer-lasting wireless gaming mice in this segment. MSI also adds pure PTFE feet for smoother gliding on cloth and hard mouse pads.

The VERSA 300 Wireless 8K Mouse includes Omron mechanical switches rated for 60 million clicks. Settings such as DPI, polling rate, lighting, and firmware updates can be adjusted through MSI PortalX in a browser or through MSI Center software.

The price is $59 in the US, MSI’s new mouse stands out as one of the most affordable branded wireless 8K gaming mice currently available, competing directly with recent value-focused launches.
