MSI FORGE GM340 Wireless Mouse Debuts at 57g With PAW3311, Tri-Mode, 82H Battery

MSI has unveiled the FORGE GM340 Wireless, a lightweight gaming mouse aimed at buyers who want wireless freedom without paying flagship prices, joining a growing range of affordable wireless gaming mice. It brings a 57g body, tri-mode connectivity, long battery life, and five color choices in a category often filled with heavier designs.

The mouse has a symmetrical shape that supports palm, claw, and fingertip grip styles. MSI also adds a perforated bottom shell to trim weight while keeping a full-size frame. At 57g, it comes in lighter than many mainstream wireless gaming mice, including several recent ultralight models.

Inside is PixArt’s PAW3311 optical sensor with sensitivity up to 12,000 DPI. Preset levels include 800, 1600, 2400, 3200, 6400, and 12,000, with a color-coded indicator that shows the current setting. The PAW3311 is a well-known mid-range sensor that remains a solid fit for casual and everyday gaming.

Polling is rated at 1,000Hz with a 1ms response time, which is still the standard target for most wireless gaming mice outside the newer 4K and 8K premium segment led by newer flagship releases.

Connectivity includes MSI SWIFTSPEED 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.2, and wired USB 2.0 through a 1.8-meter paracord USB-A to USB-C cable, a flexible setup now common across multi-device gaming mice. That setup makes it easy to move between desktop gaming, laptop use, and charging mode.

Battery will last up to 82 hours on a single charge, placing it competitively among current wireless mouse launches. MSI also includes six buttons, RGB lighting, and switches rated for 50 million clicks. Windows 10 and newer systems are supported.

The FORGE GM340 Wireless measures 122 × 61.5 × 38 mm and comes in White, Pink, Sky, Navy, and Black finishes. MSI has not announced US pricing yet, though the model is expected to land below the company’s higher-end wireless gaming mice, including its more premium enthusiast lineup.
