AAEON has launched the BOXER-6407-TWL, an ultra-slim 30 mm fanless industrial PC built for upgrading existing setup without major hardware changes.
The PC is offered with Intel Processor N250 or N150 chips from the Twin Lake family, aimed at low-power industrial tasks such as control systems, digital signage, and edge deployments, as seen in Intel Twin Lake CPUs.
Its compact 153 × 101 × 30 mm chassis is 35% thinner than earlier AAEON ultra-slim models, a direction reflected in compact mini PC like ASUS NUC 16 Pro. The reduced height allows installation inside tight enclosures, including factory equipment and display systems that were not designed for larger PCs.
The enclosure is fully sealed with a single-mold top cover and operates without fans, helping keep out dust while supporting ambient temperatures up to 60°C, a design approach used in AAEON fanless industrial PC. This makes it suitable for environments where maintenance access is limited.
Display output includes both VGA and HDMI, allowing the PCU to connect to older monitors as well as newer panels. This setup supports gradual upgrades without replacing existing displays.
I/O includes one USB 3.2 Gen 2 port and three USB 2.0 ports, along with dual Gigabit Ethernet and two DB-9 connectors supporting RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485, matching connectivity options in DFI INR556 industrial SBC.

The system uses an M.2 2280 slot for storage, moving away from the older SATA setup seen in earlier versions. There’s also room for expansion, with support for M.2 2230 E-Key, M.2 3052 B-Key, and even a SIM slot if cellular connectivity is needed.
It can run Windows 11 Pro, Windows 11 IoT, or Ubuntu 24.04 and newer, depending on the setup.
Pricing hasn’t been shared yet, and the device will be available directly through AAEON.
