ASUS has brought the Zenbook Duo (UX8407) to North America, introducing its dual-screen laptop with two 14-inch 144Hz OLED panels and starting pricing at $2,499 following its CES 2026 debut.
The device features dual 14-inch touch displays with a 2880×1800 resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and up to 1,000 nits peak brightness in HDR. Each panel reaches around 500 nits in standard use, with full DCI-P3 coverage and OLED contrast.
ASUS comes the laptop with Intel Core Ultra “Panther Lake” processors, including configurations up to the Core Ultra 9 386H, part of the lineup covered in Intel Core Ultra 7 251HX. The laptop is paired with 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, matching current high-end thin-and-light configurations.
The dual-screen design has been updated with a redesigned hinge that reduces the gap between panels and allows the displays to lay flat, continuing the approach used in ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo 2026. The laptop supports multiple usage modes, including laptop, dual-screen desktop, and sharing layouts, with a detachable keyboard enabling flexible positioning.
Battery capacity reaches 99Wh, which ASUS states is roughly 30 percent larger than the previous Zenbook Duo generation. The laptop is designed to balance dual-screen usage with extended runtime.
The chassis uses ASUS’s Ceraluminum material, combining lower weight with increased durability, introduced earlier with ASUS Zenmouse MD202. The laptop weighs about 3.64 lbs (1.65 kg), keeping it within the range of premium ultraportables despite the dual-display setup.
Connectivity includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI 2.1, USB Type-A, and a 3.5 mm audio jack, matching setups used in UGREEN Thunderbolt 5 docking stations. Wireless support covers Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.

In the US, pre-orders start at $2,499 for the Core Ultra 9 386H configuration with 32GB RAM and 1TB storage. In Canada, a Core Ultra 7 355 version with the same memory and storage is listed at CAD 3,799. ASUS also plans a Core Ultra X9 388H variant, expected to cost about $200 more.
