Lenovo Releases IdeaPad 5i 2-in-1 Gen 11 With 165Hz OLED and Panther Lake

Lenovo has started selling the IdeaPad 5i 2-in-1 Gen 11 (15-inch Intel) across Europe with Intel Panther Lake processors, a 165Hz OLED touchscreen option, upgradeable DDR5 memory, dual SSD slots, and battery options up to 84Wh. The new convertible also adds Wi-Fi 7 support on higher-end variants while keeping a relatively thin and light 15-inch chassis.

The notebook replaces Lenovo’s earlier Arrow Lake-based IdeaPad 5i convertibles and keeps several features that are slowly disappearing from thinner 2-in-1 laptops, including upgradeable memory support featured in the Lenovo IdeaPad 5A 2-in-1. Instead of soldered memory and fixed storage, Lenovo still includes two DDR5-5600 SODIMM slots supporting up to 32GB RAM together with dual M.2 2242 SSD slots for storage upgrades.

Processor options start with Intel Core Ultra 5 325 and scale up to Core Ultra 7 355 depending on configuration, based on Intel’s latest Panther Lake platform. Lenovo pairs both chips with Intel Xe3 integrated graphics and Copilot+ PC support through Intel’s built-in NPU hardware. Lenovo rates the platform for up to 50 TOPS AI performance.

Lenovo offers two display options for the IdeaPad 5i 2-in-1 Gen 11. The base model includes a 15.3-inch IPS touchscreen with 1920 × 1200 resolution, 400 nits brightness, 60Hz refresh rate, and 45% NTSC color coverage. Higher-end models move to a stronger OLED panel with 2560 × 1600 resolution, 165Hz refresh rate, HDR 1000 True Black certification, 500 nits brightness, Low Blue Light support, and full 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, matching premium panels used in the Honor MagicBook Pro 2026.

The OLED display also carries a taller 16:10 aspect ratio together with 91% active area coverage from slimmer bezels around the panel. A 165Hz refresh rate remains unusual in the convertible category, where many 2-in-1 laptops still stay at 60Hz or 120Hz. The higher refresh panel makes scrolling, pen movement, animations, and casual gaming noticeably smoother.

As expected from the name, the notebook includes a full 360-degree hinge supporting laptop, tent, stand, and tablet modes. The laptop also includes support for the Lenovo Pen 2 stylus with AES 3.0 technology, pressure sensitivity, and tilt detection for note-taking and drawing alongside accessories introduced with the Lenovo Yoga Creative Keyboard.

The chassis includes a recycled aluminum lid and MIL-STD-810H durability certification. Lenovo lists thickness at 0.69 inches (1.76 cm) and starting weight at 3.55 lbs (1.61 kg), which remains relatively portable for a 15-inch convertible with upgradeable memory and dual SSD support.

Battery comes with either 60Wh or 84Wh packs depending on configuration. Lenovo also includes Rapid Charge Boost support on supported models, with the company claiming up to two hours of runtime from a 15-minute charge.

In terms of connectivity, it has two USB-C ports with Power Delivery and DisplayPort support, two USB-A ports, HDMI 1.4b, a microSD card reader, and a combined audio jack. Wireless connectivity scales up to Wi-Fi 7 on higher-end models, while entry variants ship with Wi-Fi 6.

The laptop upgraded several smaller hardware areas this generation. The notebook includes a full HD IR webcam with privacy shutter and ToF support, dual 2W Dolby Audio speakers, a larger 120 mm × 75 mm Mylar touchpad, and a white backlit keyboard with 1.3 mm key travel featured across modern designs such as the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition.

Additional features include Microsoft Pluton security, TPM protection, Lenovo’s LA1 AI chip, EPEAT Gold certification, and Energy Star 9.0 compliance. Some regions also bundle accessories such as the Lenovo Pen Gen 2, WL350 Bluetooth Silent Mouse, earbuds, and a Lenovo backpack.

Pricing in Europe starts at €1,219 for the Core Ultra 5 model with 16GB RAM and IPS display. Higher-end versions with Core Ultra 7 355 processors, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD storage, OLED touchscreen, and Wi-Fi 7 support reach around €1,909 depending on configuration and region. Lenovo says deliveries are expected to begin in June across European markets.
