ASUS is expanding availability of the ROG Strix OLED XG34WCDMS across Europe and Australia with a 34-inch ultrawide QD-OLED panel, 280Hz refresh rate, 1300-nit HDR brightness, and the company’s new BlackShield protective film. The monitor first showed up during CES 2026 earlier this year, but retailers have now started listing the display with confirmed regional pricing and shipping dates.
The ROG Strix OLED XG34WCDMS features a 34-inch curved Tandem RGB QD-OLED panel with 3440 × 1440 resolution, 21:9 aspect ratio, and 1800R curvature, matching the ultrawide direction of the ASUS TUF Gaming VG34WQML5A. ASUS is also adding RGB Stripe Pixel technology to improve text sharpness and reduce color fringing that often affects older OLED panel layouts. The panel delivers cleaner text rendering together with more accurate color reproduction for gaming, editing, and streaming workloads.
It comes with ASUS BlackShield Film. ASUS says the additional layer improves scratch resistance by up to 2.5 times compared to earlier QD-OLED panels while also boosting perceived black levels by up to 40% in brighter rooms. The added coating also helps reduce reflections that normally become more noticeable on glossy OLED panels used in the Philips Evnia 32M2N8900X.
The panel reaches up to 1300 nits peak HDR brightness and carries VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black certification. ASUS also lists a 1.5M:1 contrast ratio, true 10-bit color support, Delta E <2 color accuracy, and 99% DCI-P3 coverage. Those specifications place the monitor well beyond standard gaming displays and into creator-focused territory for photo editing, video work, and streaming.
Gaming performance remains one of the monitor’s biggest highlights. ASUS rates the panel at 280Hz with a 0.03ms GTG response time together with Extreme Low Motion Blur support for cleaner motion during fast gameplay. Adaptive sync support includes AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-SYNC compatibility found on the AOC AGON Pro AGP277QK.
ASUS is also focusing heavily on OLED protection this generation. The XG34WCDMS includes OLED Care Pro features such as pixel cleaning, boundary dimming, screen shifting, and brightness adjustments designed to reduce long-term image retention risk. ASUS also adds a Neo Proximity Sensor that can detect when a user leaves the desk and automatically switch the display to a black screen.
The monitor offers OLED Anti-Flicker 2.0 technology, which ASUS says can reduce onscreen flicker by up to 20% compared to previous OLED generations. A Uniform Brightness mode is included as well for more stable brightness during longer desktop sessions.
Connectivity includes DisplayPort 1.4 DSC, two HDMI 2.1 ports with full bandwidth support, USB hub functionality, and USB-C with 15W power delivery featured on the Thermaltake TGM-V49CDQ. ASUS also includes Auto KVM support, allowing one keyboard and mouse setup to control multiple connected devices from the same monitor.
The XG34WCDMS supports multiple aspect ratio modes for esports-focused players. ASUS allows users to simulate smaller 24.5-inch and 27-inch display areas directly from the monitor menu for competitive titles where smaller screen sizes remain more comfortable.

ASUS delivers DisplayWidget Center software for firmware updates, OLED protection settings, profile management, and monitor controls directly through Windows instead of relying only on the onboard OSD menu. Additional gaming features include AI Visual, Dynamic Crosshair, and Dynamic Shadow Boost.
The stand supports tilt, swivel, and height adjustment up to 4.33 inches (110 mm). It keeps VESA wall mount support for multi-monitor setups and simulator-style gaming desks. The monitor additionally features a custom heatsink and redesigned airflow layout for lower operating temperatures during extended gaming sessions.
The monitor comes with TÜV Rheinland certifications together with a three-year OLED warranty.
Retail pricing currently ranges between €849 and €926 across Europe depending on retailer and region, while Australian pricing reaches AUD 1,499. ASUS says Australian shipments are expected to begin on June 5. Listings are already live across Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands, and the UK.
