ASUS has officially listed its new ProArt GeForce RTX 5090 OC graphics card. The card is one of the first RTX 5090 models aimed directly at workstation users and compact PC builders instead of oversized gaming-focused designs.
The new ProArt variant stands out because of its slimmer 2.5-slot cooler design, which is significantly smaller than many existing RTX 5090 cards currently on the market.
ASUS Focuses on Compact Workstation Builds
Most RTX 5090 partner cards use large 3-slot or 4-slot cooling systems due to the GPU’s high power requirements. ASUS is taking a different approach with the ProArt model by targeting creators and small form factor workstation systems.
The card uses the company’s ProArt design language with a black-and-gold finish and no visible RGB lighting.
ASUS also appears to use a semi-custom PCB layout similar to NVIDIA’s Founders Edition approach in order to reduce overall thickness.
Cooling System Includes Vapor Chamber and Liquid Metal
Despite the smaller size, the card still includes several high-end thermal components.
According to ASUS, the ProArt RTX 5090 OC uses:
- dual 115mm Axial-tech fans
- a vapor chamber cooling system
- liquid metal thermal material
- a vented backplate design
The company claims the cooler improves airflow and thermal efficiency compared to previous ProArt designs.
The slimmer cooler may make the card more practical for compact workstations where internal space is limited.

Factory Overclocking and Dual BIOS Support
The ProArt RTX 5090 OC ships with a factory overclock out of the box.
ASUS lists the card with a boost clock of 2482 MHz in standard mode, while the optional OC mode through GPU Tweak III increases boost speeds to 2512 MHz.
The card also includes a Dual BIOS switch that allows users to switch between quieter fan profiles and maximum performance settings depending on workload requirements.
USB Type-C Port Returns on the ProArt Model
One notable addition is the inclusion of a USB Type-C display output alongside standard HDMI and DisplayPort connections.
That may appeal to creators using modern monitors, portable displays, or professional accessories that still benefit from USB-C connectivity.
Recent RTX 50-series cards from several manufacturers have removed USB Type-C support entirely, making its inclusion here more notable.demanding professionals.
Early Pricing
Early European listings currently place the ASUS ProArt GeForce RTX 5090 OC near €3,899, although regional pricing may vary depending on retailer availability and launch supply.
ASUS has not yet confirmed wider global availability or final retail pricing for all markets.
The ProArt model joins ASUS’ growing RTX 50-series lineup as manufacturers continue expanding beyond traditional gaming-focused GPU designs.
