Thunderbird’s 34U8A Q8 Upgrade Edition is a 34-inch ultrawide monitor with a 3440 × 1440 Fast HVA panel, 200Hz refresh rate, 1,188 Mini LED local dimming zones, and a 1500R curved screen. The monitor goes on sale in China on 31 July for CNY 3,099, while available subsidies reduce the price to CNY 2,789.
The Mini LED backlight is divided into 1,188 local dimming zones. Thunderbird lists a 4,000:1 native contrast ratio and a 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. The monitor carries VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification and reaches a peak brightness of 1,200 nits when HDR content is displayed.
The 21:9 ultrawide panel displays more content across the screen than a standard 16:9 monitor. Long video timelines, multiple browser windows, large spreadsheets, and supported PC games fit on a single display without constantly switching between applications.
Thunderbird lists 98% DCI-P3 and 99% sRGB colour coverage through QD Quantum Dot technology. Each panel leaves the factory with a claimed Delta E below 2, according to the company.
The monitor carries a full-function USB Type-C port with 90W Power Delivery. A compatible laptop can receive charging, video output, and data through a single cable. The rear I/O consists of HDMI 2.1 TMDS, DisplayPort 1.4, and dual 3W built-in speakers.

Thunderbird has confirmed sales will begin in China on 31 July. The monitor carries a suggested retail price of CNY 3,099, while buyers eligible for government subsidies can purchase it for CNY 2,789.
