Lenovo has officially launched the new Lecoo Air laptop series in China, introducing three thin-and-light laptops powered by Intel’s latest Wildcat Lake processors. The lineup includes the Lecoo Air 13, Lecoo Air 14, and Lecoo Air 15, with the company clearly targeting buyers who want MacBook-style portability without paying premium Apple prices.
The debut comes as more PC makers focus on affordable, AI-ready laptops with better displays, slimmer designs, and more efficient batteries, including recent laptops based on Intel’s new Wildcat Lake platform. Students, office workers, and everyday users looking for lightweight Windows laptops with modern features appear to be the target audience for Lenovo’s new Lecoo Air models.
The Lecoo Air 13 is the most expensive model in the lineup, joining a growing number of affordable Intel Wildcat Lake laptops entering the market this year. Lenovo outfits the laptop with a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD, 16GB RAM, and an Intel Core 5 320 CPU. The laptop’s 13.3-inch display, which is still uncommon at this price range, has a brilliant 2560 × 1600 resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
Lenovo claims that the display employs an anti-glare matte surface for a more comfortable viewing experience, covers 100% of the sRGB color gamut, and has a brightness of up to 400 nits. Additionally, the business claims that despite its thin 14.3mm construction, the laptop can maintain steady performance at about 24W. The Lecoo Air 13 feels more like a high-end ultrabook than a standard low-cost laptop thanks to its smooth high-refresh-rate display and lightweight construction.
The Lecoo Air 15 shares many of the same core specifications but comes with a larger 15.3-inch display featuring a 1920 × 1200 resolution. Lenovo says the laptop is tuned for slightly higher sustained performance at around 27W while still maintaining a relatively slim 15.6mm design.
The Lecoo Air 14, on the other hand, is the lightest and thinnest model available. It has 12GB of RAM and an Intel Core 5 315 CPU. The RAM configuration is higher than many entry-level laptops now on the market, despite its lower position in the series.
The Air 14 has a 60Hz display with 300 nits of brightness, in contrast to the more expensive variants. Here, though, Lenovo is putting a lot of emphasis on portability. The laptop is among the lightest in its class, with a thickness of only 12.95 mm and a weight of 2.20 lb (1 kg). Additionally, reports indicate that the laptop is tuned for reduced 15W power usage, which may enhance battery efficiency and life.

Lenovo has confirmed that pre-orders for the Lecoo Air series will start in China on May 26. The company has not shared official pricing yet, but the laptops are expected to compete with affordable MacBook-style notebooks in the growing thin-and-light laptop market.
Reports also suggest the laptops could launch globally later under Lenovo’s IdeaPad branding instead of the Lecoo name, similar to how Lenovo recently expanded its YOGA Air lineup internationally.
Lenovo’s new Lecoo Air series, with its sleek designs, cutting-edge Intel processors, high-refresh screens, and lightweight construction, may prove to be a compelling choice for consumers seeking premium-style portability at a lower cost.
