Logitech Mobi Fold Launches as Company’s First Foldable Mouse, Priced at $79.99

Logitech is entering a category it has never touched before with the Mobi Fold, a wireless mouse that folds flat for travel and unfolds into a full-size working shape. The company is aiming the device at people who regularly work away from a fixed desk but still prefer a mouse over a laptop trackpad.

The idea comes from a problem Logitech says it found in its own research. While 72% of professionals own a mouse, only 26% regularly use one when working in public places. Portability often becomes the deciding factor, especially when carrying a laptop between offices, airports, hotels, cafés, and meeting rooms.

Instead of shrinking the mouse into a smaller shape, Logitech built a hinged design that changes form between travel and work modes. Folded, the Mobi Fold measures roughly 66 × 64 × 21 mm. Opening the hinge expands the body to around 122 × 64 × 33 mm, creating a shape much closer to a traditional mouse than most compact travel models.

Opening the mouse automatically powers it on, while folding it shut turns it off. Logitech says a small onboard AI model monitors the transition process and helps prevent unintended clicks while the mechanism is moving.

Logitech claims the unfolded design can reduce forearm muscle strain by up to 22% compared with using a laptop trackpad. Quiet-click switches are also included for users working in shared environments such as libraries, coworking spaces, and meeting rooms.

Logitech kept the Mobi Fold relatively light at 79 g (2.79 oz). The silicone-covered exterior is designed for everyday travel, while the hinge was tested for up to 15 years of daily folding. Logitech also says the mouse underwent drop-testing during development.

A PixArt PAW3222 optical sensor handles tracking with sensitivity reaching up to 4,000 DPI. Navigation takes place through a touch-sensitive scrolling surface that supports both precise line-by-line movement and faster inertial scrolling. Two programmable buttons can be customized through Logitech’s Options+ software.

Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0 provides wireless connectivity, and the mouse can stay paired with up to three devices simultaneously. Users can move between a laptop, tablet, or smartphone without repeating the pairing process. Logitech also says the Mobi Fold becomes the first Logitech peripheral to support Google Fast Pair, simplifying setup on compatible Android devices and Chromebooks.

Logitech claims up to 32 days of use on a full charge. A one-minute top-up over USB-C can deliver as much as 22 hours of operation. The company does not include a USB-C charging cable in the box.

Logitech is also offering a business edition priced at $89.99. The Mobi Fold for Business includes a Logi Bolt USB-C receiver, Logitech Sync support for fleet management, and a two-year warranty. The standard consumer version will sell for $79.99.

The Mobi Fold joins a small group of foldable computer mice that includes products such as Microsoft’s Surface Arc Mouse, but Logitech is betting that a larger working shape, multi-device connectivity, and longer battery life will make the concept appealing to people who spend as much time traveling as they do at a desk.
