GIGABYTE MO27Q2A 280Hz QD-OLED Monitor Drops Under $450

Amazon has discounted the GIGABYTE MO27Q2A 27-inch QD-OLED gaming monitor ahead of the upcoming Prime Day shopping event. The high-end monitor has dropped to $449.99, down from its normal retail price of $599.99. This 25% discount brings the display back to its lowest pricing yet on the retailer’s site, making it a compelling option for PC builders looking for premium visuals on a budget.

The monitor features a 27-inch QD-OLED panel with a native QHD resolution of 2560×1440. Known for deep contrast and vibrant colors, the QD-OLED technology delivers a 1,500,000:1 contrast ratio, 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and 10-bit color depth.

It is also certified with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400, ensuring highly accurate contrast and ink-like blacks when displaying HDR content. This sale coincides with other GIGABYTE promotions, such as bundling a free Xbox Game Pass subscription with select OLED monitor purchases.

Gaming performance is a key selling point for the MO27Q2A. It features a fast 280Hz refresh rate and a 0.03ms gray-to-gray response time, which minimizes latency and motion blur during fast-paced multiplayer games. The monitor is certified with VESA ClearMR 15000, a high motion-clarity rating indicating extremely low motion blur. It also supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and is NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible to prevent screen tearing while running high frame rates.

For productivity and multi-device setups, the monitor includes a built-in Type-C KVM switch, allowing users to control two computers with a single keyboard and mouse. It also utilizes GIGABYTE’s AI-based OLED Care software, which runs in the background to automatically reduce the risk of screen burn-in. The monitor is backed by a 3-year manufacturer warranty that covers burn-in issues.

While QD-OLED displays excel in dark or moderately lit rooms, they can sometimes appear slightly dim in very bright spaces. Buyers who plan to place their monitor in a room with heavy direct sunlight may want to consider a W-OLED alternative instead, which typically offers higher full-screen brightness. GIGABYTE sells a W-OLED variant of this display which is also currently discounted on Amazon.

The GIGABYTE MO27Q2A is available now at the discounted price on Amazon.
