GMKtec’s EVO-X3 pairs AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor with native OCuLink connectivity, up to 128GB of LPDDR5X memory, and support for as much as 16TB of internal storage.
The mini PC is built around AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor and is scheduled to reach the Chinese market on June 22. Pricing has not yet been disclosed.
Unlike many compact desktops that prioritize small dimensions over expandability, the EVO-X3 focuses on giving users more room for upgrades. OCuLink support allows the machine to connect to external graphics solutions, opening the door for higher graphics performance without increasing the size of the desktop itself.

That version is expected later this year and raises memory support from 128GB to as much as 192GB, placing it among the highest-capacity Strix Halo desktop implementations announced so far.
The Ryzen AI Max+ 395 version supports up to 128GB of LPDDR5X-8000 memory. Such capacities are typically found in larger workstation-class machines, making the EVO-X3 notable for users working with virtual machines, software development environments, engineering applications, and memory-intensive creative workloads.
GMKtec launch the EVO-X3 with two M.2 slots, each capable of supporting SSDs up to 8TB. A fully populated configuration can accommodate as much as 16TB of internal storage, providing room for large media libraries, project files, local databases, and high-capacity backup storage without relying on external drives.

The PC includes several connectivity features alongside OCuLink. Wi-Fi 7 support provides access to the latest wireless networking standard, while USB4 delivers high-speed connections for external storage, displays, docking stations, and professional peripherals.
Compared to the EVO-X2, the EVO-X3 adopts a slimmer footprint and a taller vertical layout. GMKtec pairs the new shape with an all-metal enclosure and a blade-inspired appearance that differs from the more conventional mini PC designs currently available.
The revised dimensions suggest internal layout changes as well, allowing GMKtec to accommodate the new connectivity options while maintaining support for AMD’s Strix Halo platform. The company has not yet shared detailed information regarding cooling hardware or thermal performance.
A higher-end version is reportedly in development with 4TB of pre-installed storage and GMKtec’s Claw self-hosting gateway solution. Additional specifications for that configuration remain undisclosed.
China sales begin on June 22. Global availability details have not yet been announced.
