The refreshed 2026 ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 18 gaming laptop is now available for pre-order in the United States starting at $4,299.99. The flagship portable computer pairs an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor with high-end graphics cards, supporting a sustained total power allocation of up to 320 watts. Pre-orders are open on the official online store and partner retail channels.

Gamers can select between two main graphics configurations depending on their budget and workload needs. The base model utilizes an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU with 16 GB of GDDR7 memory, while the premium configuration upgrades to an RTX 5090 Laptop GPU with 24 GB of memory for $4,999.99. Both configurations include 32 GB of DDR5-6400 RAM and a 1 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe solid-state drive.

This performance layout helps the laptop handle demanding tasks like local AI development and high-end 3D rendering, similar to other premium options such as the Razer Blade 18. Visuals are handled by an 18-inch 4K (3840 x 2400) mini-LED screen with a 240 Hz refresh rate and over 2,000 dimming zones.
