Keychron Releases First Docking Station With Thunderbolt 5, and 14 Ports

Keychron’s first docking station is now available through the company’s official online store. The Thunderbolt 5 Dock (14-in-1) offers Thunderbolt 5 connectivity, 14 ports, dual 8K display support, up to 140W laptop charging, and a CNC-machined aluminum enclosure.

One upstream Thunderbolt 5 port connects to a laptop, while three downstream Thunderbolt 5 ports are available for monitors, external SSDs, and other accessories. The connection provides up to 80Gbps of bidirectional bandwidth. When multiple high-resolution displays are connected, Thunderbolt 5 Bandwidth Boost can raise display bandwidth to 120Gbps.

The upstream Thunderbolt 5 connection delivers up to 140W of Power Delivery for compatible laptops. Two downstream Thunderbolt 5 ports provide up to 30W and 15W for charging supported devices. The dock runs from the bundled 180W power adapter.

The front panel carries one USB-C 10Gbps port, two USB-A 10Gbps ports, UHS-II SD and microSD card readers, a power button, and LED status indicators. Both card readers support transfer speeds of up to 312MB/s, allowing quick transfers from cameras and other storage devices.

On the rear panel, Keychron places three Thunderbolt 5 ports, two USB-A 10Gbps ports, two HDMI 2.1 outputs, a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port, and two Kensington security lock slots. This layout keeps permanent cables at the back while leaving the front USB ports free for frequently connected devices.

The dock supports dual 8K displays on compatible hardware. Display support depends on the connected Windows PC or Mac. Thunderbolt 4 and USB4 computers are supported as well, although bandwidth and display capabilities follow the limits of the connected host device.

Cooling relies on a CNC-machined aluminum enclosure, an internal aluminum heat spreader, and ventilation openings. Heat moves through the metal chassis, removing the need for an internal cooling fan. The enclosure can stand vertically or lie flat to fit different desk layouts.

Keychron ships the dock with a certified one-meter Thunderbolt 5 cable. The bundled power adapter supports 100V to 240V AC input, allowing the dock to work in different regions with the appropriate power cable.

The Thunderbolt 5 Dock (14-in-1) is available now through Keychron’s official website for $349.99.
