Keychron Launches K4 Ultra and K10 Ultra Mechanical Keyboards

Keychron has released two new additions to its wireless mechanical keyboard lineup, the full-size K10 Ultra and the compact 96% K4 Ultra. Both keyboards use identical internal hardware components but offer different layout options to suit different user needs. Buyers can purchase either model now on Keychron’s official web store or its Amazon storefront.

The pricing for both new keyboards starts at $114.99 USD. The K10 Ultra uses a traditional full-size layout that includes a dedicated four-key macro row placed above the number pad. On the other hand, the K4 Ultra forgoes the traditional navigation cluster to save desk space, shrinking the width by just over 55 mm (2.1 inches).

The full-size K10 Ultra measures 447.76 x 139.82 mm (17.6 x 5.5 inches), while the compact K4 Ultra checks in at 391.29 x 140.27 mm (15.4 x 5.5 inches). Despite its compact footprint, the K4 Ultra retains the number pad and keeps a small blocker zone next to the arrow keys. Both keyboard frames use tray-mounted ABS enclosures combined with steel switch plates and internal sound damping materials.

Underneath the keycaps, the keyboards use ZMK firmware to optimize wireless energy consumption. The internal 4,000 mAh battery delivers up to 600 hours of continuous typing on a single charge with the backlighting turned off. Both mechanical models are capable of an 8,000 Hz polling rate over their 2.4 GHz wireless and USB wired connections, matching the response times of the latest Epomaker gaming peripherals.

In addition to the low-latency 2.4 GHz connection, the keyboards support Bluetooth 5.2 to connect to laptops, tablets, or phones. Keychron installs retro OSA-profile keycaps made from double-shot PBT material to resist wear over time. Typists can choose between three different pre-lubed box-stem switch options, including Keychron Apex Red, Apex Brown, or Apex Banana switches.

The Apex Red options provide a smooth linear response with a 45 gf actuation force, while the tactile Brown and Banana switches require 50 gf and 55 gf respectively. A USB Type-C cable is included in the retail box for charging the battery or using the keyboard in wired mode. Keyboard enthusiasts can place their orders starting today to receive free standard shipping.
