Slimbook Launches Nexus AI Workstation Series

Slimbook has launched the Nexus AI Workstation series, a new family of desktop computers engineered specifically for local artificial intelligence development and deployment. The new lineup includes two main configurations, Ryzen AI and Threadripper AI, to scale from standard development setups to professional compute environments. This launch builds on Slimbook’s desktop catalog, which also includes updates like the Slimbook Kymera Compact microATX design.

The workstation launch joins Slimbook’s other new hardware offerings, such as the Slimbook Creative OLED laptop. Running AI models directly on local hardware gives professionals complete control over their sensitive data while reducing reliance on third-party cloud services. Both configurations allow buyers to choose custom components that suit their specific project scale.

The entry-level model starts at €1,995 (about $2,160 USD) and supports AMD Ryzen 9 processors, up to 128GB of DDR5 memory, and up to 4TB of PCIe 5.0 NVMe storage. For graphics power, the motherboard can support dual NVIDIA RTX Blackwell 6000 graphics cards to manage heavy local workloads. In addition, the computer offers up to 140TB of SATA storage depending on the motherboard layout.

The high-end model starts at €3,880 (about $4,200 USD) and supports up to 96-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9995WX processors. This configuration includes up to 512GB of DDR5 RDIMM memory, dual RTX Blackwell 6000 GPUs, and a robust 2,500W Platinum-certified power supply.

Both models share an aluminum and metal chassis that supports both standard air cooling and triple-fan liquid cooling configurations to handle demanding processing runs. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 7 depending on the motherboard selection, alongside 2.5 Gb Ethernet for high-speed local data transfers.

Both desktops come ready to run GNU/Linux and Windows operating systems to provide an open environment for developers and researchers. Slimbook builds these professional desktops to order, with estimated delivery times ranging from two to three weeks depending on stock availability.
