COLORFIRE Launches MEOW R16 Ultra Gaming Laptop With Ryzen 9 9850HX and RTX 5060

COLORFIRE is offering a new version of the MEOW R16 Ultra gaming laptop in China. The updated configuration pairs AMD’s Ryzen 9 9850HX processor with NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU. It is priced at 11,799 yuan (around $1,637 before taxes) through the company’s official JD store. This is a hardware update for the existing MEOW R16 Ultra rather than a new model.

The Ryzen 9 9850HX features 12 cores and 24 threads. It is paired with NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU. COLORFIRE has not disclosed the GPU’s Total Graphics Power (TGP), so its maximum performance remains unknown until independent reviews become available.

Cooling comes from two fans and six heat pipes. The notebook ships with 16GB of DDR5 memory and a 1TB PCIe SSD as the standard configuration.

The laptop features a 16-inch IPS display with a 2560 × 1600 resolution, a 16:10 aspect ratio, and a 300Hz refresh rate. The panel reaches 500 nits of brightness and covers 100% of the sRGB color space. The combination of a high refresh rate and higher resolution makes it suitable for both fast-paced games and everyday work.

The notebook provides three USB Type-A ports, two USB Type-C ports, HDMI 2.1, Gigabit Ethernet, a full-size SD card reader, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Wireless connectivity consists of Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth.

The Ryzen 9 9850HX configuration is currently available through COLORFIRE’s official JD store in China. The company has not confirmed availability for other markets.
