Industrial computing company AAEON has introduced the Intelli TWL01 Edge, a compact fanless industrial PC designed for embedded edge deployments, kiosks, and digital signage controllers that require reliable multi-display output and silent operation.
The system is part of AAEON’s UP brand industrial computing lineup and is built as a small embedded computer capable of driving two 4K displays from a single device. Hardware in this class is often deployed in retail display networks, transportation information systems, interactive kiosks, and enterprise multimedia installations where systems run continuously.
The Intelli TWL01 Edge runs on Intel Processor N-series chips based on the Twin Lake platform. These low-power processors combine x86 CPU performance with integrated Intel UHD Graphics that supports the DirectX 12.1 graphics API. The platform is designed for systems that handle multimedia interfaces, digital dashboards, and visual control software while maintaining efficient power usage. Intel continues expanding this low-power computing segment while competitors introduce alternatives such as the Ryzen AI 400 Series desktop processors.
Dual display capability is provided through two HDMI 2.0b ports, allowing the system to output two 4K displays simultaneously. This configuration allows a single device to manage multiple digital signage panels, dashboard displays, or customer-facing information screens in environments such as retail stores and transit hubs.
The enclosure measures approximately 152 mm × 124.5 mm × 39 mm and uses a fanless metal chassis designed for silent operation. Removing internal fans reduces mechanical wear and helps improve reliability in long-running installations where maintenance access may be limited.
The compact size allows the system to be installed behind displays, inside kiosks, or within industrial control cabinets. Similar compact edge systems, such as the GMKtec 180 TOPS AI Mini PC, show how small form factor computers are increasingly used in distributed computing deployments.
Installation options include DIN rail, VESA, and wall mounting, giving system integrators flexibility when deploying the device across different infrastructure setups. The platform also supports a wide 9V to 36V DC power input range, which improves compatibility with power systems used in factory automation, transportation infrastructure, and industrial control environments.
The system includes 8GB of soldered LPDDR5 memory and 64GB of onboard eMMC storage for operating systems and edge software deployments. Additional storage can be installed using the M.2 2280 M-Key slot, which supports NVMe SSDs. An M.2 2230 E-Key slot is also available for optional Wi-Fi modules in installations that require wireless networking.
Connectivity is designed to support both modern peripherals and industrial hardware. The device includes four USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, a 10-bit GPIO interface, and a serial COM port supporting RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 communication standards.

These interfaces allow the system to connect with PLC controllers, industrial sensors, automation equipment, and enterprise network infrastructure used in embedded computing environments.
The Intelli TWL01 Edge supports several operating systems used in industrial deployments, including Windows 11 LTSC, Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, and Yocto 5.1. This compatibility allows developers and system integrators to deploy both commercial software platforms and customized Linux-based edge solutions.
AAEON has not yet announced pricing or global availability for the Intelli TWL01 Edge. Additional details are expected through the company’s official product channels and distribution partners.
